LMS 6233 Makes a triumphant return on The Settle and Carlisle railtour 12/3/22.

LMS 6233 The Duchess of Sutherland would be at the helm of Vintage Trains railtour The Settle and Carlisle from Tyseley to Carlisle over the famous Settle and Carlisle line . 6233 moved to Hellifield the day before and took over from the diesel then headed to Carlisle over the S&C . This would be the first time 6233 graced the S&C since August 2017 and we see 6233 at a blustery Helwith Bridge .The return was a mixed bag as 6233 oddly shut off at Armathwaite curve and Kirkby Stephen station was better but there's always one ! Thanks to Nige for the lift in the morning and the good company .Apologies for the second, third and last shots being a bit quiet as a technical cock up in the editing made by me didn’t help .
