Lee, I've noticed recently that flash lines on models are becoming fainter. Would be nice to have none at all...what was your very 1st box set..?
This is a very nice box and it still seems to be affordable *and* available! Looks like the perfect way to get into Kill Team.
Had so many great games with the set, it's such a cool direction that they took the game in.

If you can, you really should get hold of the old wooden dice used in Space Crusade or the original version of Space Hulk, they're incredibly satisfying to use.
Back on topic, however, I have just realized how much I can wait to pick up the individual teams, especially since I will be using house rules for my newly ordered Voystoyan into our groups games. Plus, I will be clearing my backlog from the past two years.
I'll have a look, thanks! If they use the same terrain in each box set throughout the season, I think there'll be some bargains to be had later on.

I've never been scared of the dark - always happy to wander around with the lights off. What I am really worried about is that I might want all 4 KT boxes in this season. Crikey.

Are the tac ops cards specific to the army's that come with it? Can I use the cards with different army's e.g Orks.
Has into the dark been discontinued? Out of production? Will it be in production again? I'm thinking of just buying the into the dark books and cards.... Then I will use my own figures e.g Orks. Then I will make my own terrain. Cheapest I can find the game is £150.
Once they sell out they are usually discontinued then. The Tac ops cards are generic but each faction has their own tac ops too.
WOndered if you can help - I'm trying to find out if the books with into the dark have how to play style missions like you find in the starter set. Do they? Or do I need to pick up the starter set really?
The Core Book that come with Into The dark is the same one that came in the first Octarius Set. The starter set is a little different as the books don't have as much info. If you get Octarius or Into The dark, then you don't need the starter set. That said, if I got Into the Dark, I'd be tempted to get the starter set for the two kill teams that are included and also for their data cards. You'll also get extra gauges and barricades that you can paint to theme with your kill teams.
@@tabletopskirmishgames I'd be tempted to do the same to 'cheaply' expand the collection. I'm wanting to learn the game with my son. We've been playing with a 40k recruit set which walks you through some basic rules to get you familiar. I know the starter set has a similar setup. I was wondering if the big sets did?
Is the new terrain compatible the TrueHawk map or Kill Team Arena map wall lines?

This is an unrelated, dumb question, but since you have a UK accent, and you have that knife to open the box, are those knives legal to carry in the UK? Just curious as a US person.

Hi John, yes you can use Orcs and Space Marines. There are some free rules for Intercessors on the Warhammer Community site. You can find the Kommando Ork rules for the Kill Team set or use the Compendium for other types of Orks. The compendium is not being updated, so I'd recommend going with the Kommando Orks, they are awesome fun to play.

Yes, it's bad but I made an easy fix. I'm posting how I did it in about an hour. I was worried when I started seeing how tight the fittings were but it took me two hours to make it work super easy ... what a relief!
Is Firestorm just an across the pond company, or is it worthwhile for north Americans (Canadian specifically) to shop there too?
They ship globally so it could work out good for you with discounts and shipping vs retail prices where you are. I would recommend checking import fees, though. Question ; I love to build my own terrain. Like huge refineries spooky industry as such, now Is it possible to play kill team with my own terrain?
Surprised, nobody answered your question, but yes. If you keep the sizes of your terrain pieces relativley similar, there will be no issues at all. If you like to go a bit wild, just keep in mind how they're going to be places in the game, and it will be alright
