    They brought a new element in this competition which is time. The new format is not so great I think because you cannot even understand the letters being pronounced due to the fact that they have to spell as much words as possible in limited time. It should not be a speed contest in my opinion. But Harini is a star.

      And not just this year but since last 10 years or even more, kids of Indian origin have been winning this, now am not sure but I think in 2019 almost 8 kids won this altogether and 7 of them were Indians.

      If you can learn that much content to near perfection, recall at any moment...these skills would be transferable to other fields like medicine, math, physics, (most of it is pattern recognition), etc. This girl is brilliant but humble. She could a scientist, doctor, lawyer, anything. Plus she works hard. That translates well in every field.

    all these competitions' participants are immigrants : indians, chinese . . . &/- all colors - except white !
