  • Grab your supplies and make some macrame stars! These stars are perfect for decorating your home during the holiday season, and to even enjoy year round!
    Supplies used:
*4mm single strand macrame cord from Ganxxet
(15 cords cut at 40 inches)
    www.ganxxet.co...
    *2 inch wooden ring
    *Scissors
*Beads optional (final picture shows how you can add beads to your stars)
Wooden rings, scissors, and beads can be found here on my amazon storefront.
    www.amazon.com...
    Steps:
    1. Cut 15 cords at 40 inches long. Fold each cord evenly in half and attach to your wooden ring using a larks head knot.
    2. Create 5 sections with 3 cords in each section.
    3. Using the two outer cords in a section, make two square knots (you should have 4 cords as your filler cords). Repeat this step for each section.
4.Separate the cords so that you have 3 cords for each "arm" and use the two outer cord to make 4 square knots. (you should have 1 cord for your filler cord) Repeat this step for each "arm"
5.Grab one "arm" from one section and another "arm" from another section and join them together by making a square knot. You will repeat this until each "arm" sections are joined creating your point.
    6. Grab two center cords from one point and make a knot a few inches above. This will be your hanging cord.
    7. OPTIONAL- you can now add beads to the end of your points (as shown in the yellow star at the end of the video) or you can trim the cord. This is the fun part where you can make it your own.
    8. OPTIOANL- After I trimmed mine, I brushed my ends out and then made a wrap knot at the end of each point to bring the fringe together. Again this is optional and all about your preference.
9.Hang your new macrame star and enjoy!
I hope you loved this tutorial! Thank you for watching.
