Finally massive thanks to Colin Cairns for the load of the rechargable air pump to try it out, Jeb Sterry for flagposting potential BMW/CANBUS problems, and Mic McMullen and Kevin McMillan for pitching in with ideas.
Awesome comparison video.
That AirMan pump looks the exact same as the Harley-Davidson pump. Guessing Harley just rebranded it. But the AirMan branded pump is a lot cheaper than the Harley branded one I’ll bet. I recently ordered the Rocky Creek V2 pump. Looking forward to having something compact on board. One thing I think you forgot to mention about the V2 pump is that it has a little nipple that you can stick a pressure gauge to which is really nice. That way you can use your own accurate tire gauge as opposed to the built in gauges that other pumps have which probably aren’t very accurate.
Thanks Brett, Didnt know that Harley was using the Airman, thats interesting. Yep, your right about the gauge connection on the V2 👍
Very helpful review, thanks!
Many thanks, very useful 👏
Great comparison!
Thanks Vinnie 👍
Good vid, I have two of the ones you tested, original rocky creek and the airman tour , and agree with your comments on them. First time I have seen your channel, crackin name 😂😂
Thanks Andy, much appreciated. Great minds think alike - eh! Cheers, Stevie.
Airman for me, as you know I do like to find the nails! When you get a flat on the coast road between Applecross and Sheildaig trust me you want an Airman tour in your topbox 😂
Ha ha, aye, you've been a magnet to them 🤣. I've been really impressed with it.
Great review Steve. I use a rechargeable usb inflator similar to your mates one. All the best, sean
Thanks Sean, seems to be a very popular choice these days 👍
This was very well made video buddy I enjoyed it. well done.
Thanks Roland, much appreciated 👍
👍👍it's great, I have the same one.
congrats on 1k!!🔥
Cheers Micah, thanks for the support 👍
Very comprehensive comparison. I’ve got a cheapo one and it works fine.
Can you let me know? Thank you
Great video there! I’m using a rocky creek V1. Fits under my seat of the 850GS and saved me when green landing in wales last year. Had a severely buckled front rim after that trip too and the compressor got plenty of work topping that tyre up all the way home.
Thank you Debo. It'd always great when a piece of kit gets you out a pickle like that. Gives you real confidence in it 👍
I opted for a rescue service, I don't carry tools of any sort on my bike, (SV650S).
Measure of last resort, sometimes needed 👍
In Ontario it's my best option, originally from Clydedank I'm not going to dick around with the bike at the side of the road. @@soggybawsmoto
Great video, I have actually been looking at a compressor for the garage.
No hope of getting one on the MT-01 though.
Thanks Tom, just need to make sure your riding buddies carry one 🤣
Great video stevie, it's also a thumbs up for the airman for me after saving the day during our skye trip, true trial by fire.
Thanks Kyle, Aye, it got a proper work out that day - lol!
Great video and helpful too. Sadly, at present , I am currently without a bike so I use the cheapo Lidl compressor on my Ford CMax, Thanks and a have a Great New Year,
Thanks Dezmond, happy new year to you too! Do you think there might be a bike on the horizon in 2024? Cheers, Stevie
Quality review Stevie. I use the Bosch easy pump rechargeable myself. Happy new year buddy 🤠
Cheers Duncan, Happy New Year to you too pal!
nice video mate. I carry a rechargeable one and co2 canisters because as you say I will forget to charge it lol.
Cheers Graham, that's inevitable, but a few cylinders is a good back up plan 👍
