- Tent camping has a certain magic about it! đ Being one with nature as you disconnect from technology can be so relaxing and rejuvenating! This week we head over to Big Bear Lake to do some tent camping of our own. We do a lot of relaxing, breathing in the fresh mountain air, and still manage to fit in our favorite activities of hiking and playing games. đ„Ÿ
Hanna Flats Campground is a campers dream tucked away in the San Bernardino Mountains. â° So secluded that you need to drive down a 2.5-mile bumpy dirt road to get there! We have found the best spots for you to relax and enjoy, so you donât have to worry about a thing on your trip!
Our FAVORITE sites:
Site 54- Our Site In the video. Large site with a mix of sun and shade situated next to a creek.
Site 57- A more secluded site that you walk down a short path too, with shade and a view of the mountain.
Site 23- A non-reservable site that is tucked in a secluded corner with unmarked trails behind to enjoy.
Being here this week reminded us how nice it is to take a step away from everything and just slow down and enjoy the moments and this beautiful Earth. đ

Spent some time up there when I was a kid, back in the early 60's. So quiet some time ago, probably a lot different now. Love that camp spot. Great video. Will be following you. Thanks for sharing

Big Bear is so amazing!!! We loved escaping the heat to go up there and it is like its own little world! We wished we could have explored a little more but we plan on going back again soon! This camping spot was awesome! DO you guys like to camp and have a favorite spot? ~ Brandon and Maggie
@@RVthere Great spot for sure!! As far as RV spots, we have just been to our permanent location. We explore with our van and hands down our favorite spot is Telluride, CO. Love that place!
That is so cool! We would love to get a van and convert it into something we could take trips in! Would be nice to be a little more mobile at times we want to go somewhere just for a night or two or in a spot the RV cannot fit!
Nice video! That seemed like a cool trail. We like to hike trails that are 5 miles and under. We have often thought about buying a tent to do overnight trips or even try sleeping in the back seat area of our truck.
We love when trails are right off the campground! No need to drive anywhere! We love having the tent and going on a weekend trip! It is such a different experience and brings us closer to nature! We can also get to some cool locations that we canât bring the RV to! Would definitely recommend! ~ Brandon and Maggie

Oh we are very familiar with cards blowing all over the place. đ€Ł Sometimes we try to stack things to make a little wind barrier or move the table to be where the truck can block some of the wind! @@RVthere Our kids love Monopoly. We have a deal with them.. that if it is a rainy day we will play it. Last time we played.. our daughter had mom out of the game in like 15 minutes and Dad within an hour. She does not let us forget :)

She was my best friend. Tequila was her name and she was a papillon black and white. Next will be a rescue đ dog, so who knows what kind. RV there? We are currently at a campground in the smoky mountains work camping for a while. We also work camped in a state park in Eufaula Alabama that was beautiful. We also stayed at a campground in Kentucky and a nice naturey campground in NE Tennessee. I have not edited and posted those videos yet, but I will. Lately we are posting videos about adventures in the smoky mountains because there are lots of things to do in this area.
Joy Blessed Life It really is hard to pick since there are so many beautiful parks! We worked at a state park once and it was a lot of fun and a great way to stay in the area for free! We havenât been to the Smoky mountains yet and will have to check out your videos! ~ Brandon and Maggie

@@RVthere We don't live full-time in the 5th wheel. We use it for camping in the summer (28 days this summer!) and for long cross-country trips. We've taken it to Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, Wisconsin Dells, the New England states, and Kentucy/Tennessee. There's just not enough time to see all the beautiful places in our country.

@@RVthere We really liked Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire. We could have spent more time there. Places we still want to get to - Northern California, Oregon, Washington, the Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon.

Aw thanks they are our spoiled fur babies!!!! Donald đ» loves the shade but surprisingly Gurley đ¶ with his full coat loves to lay out in the sun! đ€Ł Love that Scout does it too! It is so funny, like come on dude lay on the nice cool bed that will keep you clean...never fails they all love the dirt! He does love the drone and even more now that we just upgraded! Big Bear Lake is amazing and would definitely recommend đđ» if ever in the area!! A rope that is BRILLIANT!!!! đđ» Will do that next time! Wizard is so fun! We love games and have many two player! Great video. Question...... did you see RVs at the Campground? Is the drive up to the campground easy enough for a RV?
Hey! So we did one RV and then we saw some people who had the truck bed ones! This area is more for tent camping. Most of the sites you have to walk down a short path and there is just place enough to park your vehicle. It is beautiful and would recommend going there for sure if you are in the area! The road to get to the campground is a little rough so I would recommend just driving slow! There are a few RV parks in the area that look really nice too depending on your rig size! So funny story, I donât know if you have ever been to ALDI, but we actually got them in their what we call their ârandomâ aisle for I think 30 dollars a piece. đ€Ł They are so nice though, we have seen other people have them in the past and it has always been something that we have said those are nice we should get some but never did. Now that we have them we wish we had purchased them earlier. You could probably find them at Walmart (I saw one online for 40) or Target. I just looked on amazon and you can buy a pair for just over 100. Hope you can find them and enjoyâŒïž

One another trip (they kayaking with the dogs) the drone lost connection and just dove right into the lake. đł So we just decided it was time to upgrade, got the Mavic 2 Zoom and Brandon is loving it so far! Doing nothing is the perfect thing to do on vacation. How come you guys didnt bring the trailer? We've been looking for a nice place to stay in Big Bear with our trailer.
