Whenever you develop a website or app one of the major considerations is the cost of hosting. The method shown here means you can avoid paying the costs of a cloud computing platform completely, such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform. Yes, those companies do offer free trials for limited periods, but what happens when that period expires? The method shown here is very helpful indeed. If I had seen this video ten years ago, I suspect I might already be a dollar millionaire by now.

    Hi, thanks for sharing this
There is one problem, your ISP will give you a dynamic IP address, so it could change.
So one way to solve that is to get a static IP from your ISP, and that will be expensive
The other way to have another router that acts as a DDNS router.

Thanks for the video, just a question, I just got a fiber plan from globe installed and I also have access to the modem, I tried using the old modem with this since they are using PPPOE it was quite easy the problem is that when it was upgraded to fiber it still uses PPPOE but it doesn't seem to work, I tried adding the IP from the PPPOE to my DNS A Record but it says its a private IP this is my first time getting this error. Do you have any tips on how to do a work around for this?

I'm new to this. So my question might be unheard of.
But instead of creating a NAS. Can I host a website from my laptop per say, and have it request login credentials and afterwards allow file transfer so I could store and retrieve files like a NAS.
Also can I use my laptop to store games and run them on my main computer since I don't want to rip out the only hard drive on the laptop since its usable.
I haven't found any help anywhere. Is it even possible.
