Viktor has so much skill and respect. He didn’t try as hard as he could, but he let his opponent have some points on him. He has a heart of gold.
He surely does, but that’s kind of the point of an exhibition match. To give a show and not destroy his opponent.
Omg i need to meet him. Plz tell me how
so disrespectful, kept telling his opponent to wait even though his opponent had service
@@JT-wu2if it would be in a real match, but he is giving the audience a show and making them laugh. Loosen up
@@andremalmgrenjensen4105 making the audience laugh by holding his hand at the opponent to not serve? whats the joke
Thanks for the video! Superb quality
Thanks for uploading
That thumbs up at 3:01 just shows that Viktor has heart of gold and good sportmanship.

9:19 - great setup from William.
Axelsen, like his seniors Peter Gade and Kenneth Jonassen, has all the skills it takes to put on an amazingly entertaining exhibition match. I wonder if it's because Victor is still young and competitive or his opponent isn't on the same wavelength as him... but this match was basically just a regular badminton match with Victor dialed down. When Peter Gade puts on an exhibition, you have both the skills and the humour to keep the crowd entertained. I think Axelsen can have just as much trick shots in his arsenal as Peter to put on great exhibitions in the future
I agree! Axelsen was an excellent host. In time he will master the exhibition style like Gade, I think.
it's called exhibition for a reason, chill out

很欢乐的气氛,很喜欢
i cant wait to see him!!
Nice backhands by Willian tho. Fun to watch.
His smash is just amazing
We can notice how disturbing Axelsen smashes are for William Hu, the angles and speed is not something he is very used to. Momota is a anomaly for being able to neutralize VA offense to the point of forcing him into errors or tiring him down.
I was thinking, other top players might have to set up specific defense routines to get used to the angles produced by the olympic champ when he jump smash.
Momota wouldn't be able to neutralize this Axelsen. Also mind you, this is an exhibition match.

William who?
Wow William is super good!!
And boring to watch in an exhibition match
@@Cookie_boi316 Well he's trying 100% while Viktor is the one that is supposed to be entertaining and messing around because he's going to win either way
@@moatef1886 Exhibition isn't about winning if u ask me. If he wanted to win, he would go join a tournament. Exhibitions are for entertaining a crowd and promoting the sport. If the crowd wanted to watch a real competitive game they would just go to a tournament. Just my opinion. You could beg to differ.
@@Cookie_boi316 yeah sure. I think, William was just seeing Viktor as a way to challenge himself by doing 100%. I saw Viktor still try to lighten up the match by doing some funny things, but still the young one on 100% energy to make point. And Viktor still have little pride to not losing to this young gun, so still made some serious shots. Nice backhand shoot by the way.
@@Cookie_boi316 I would love to see u in an exhibition match... oh wait.
"Oh nice"
Question: In a real tournament: how can we beat this Giant man? :D

why doesnt william smash as much, did his confidence drop that much? Plus he needs to keep the balls short, keep dropping them so he doesnt play into viktors strength
中文也会?
Someone should have told William that this was an exhibition match
Taking dust particles of the court tells me you’re taking yourself way to serious. Keep it real, like the other giy.

10% viktor
I would say 30%. Opponent was quite serious in the match so he has to "focus". I would say Victor was at 30% physical and 50-60% reading the game

@@Phiz787 was he half trolling
William needs a little bit of humor in his life. Or maybe he felt like this was the opportunity to beat Viktor so he can get the publicity he wants. Axelsen was trying hard to put on a show for the audience with some funny bits but William had to be so dead serious to the point where Axelsen didn't even feel like having fun anymore.
Well of course, this might be the only time William will ever get to play Viktor, can’t blame him for taking it seriously. But I doubt William think he can beat Viktor.
William is right, he has to do his best against the number 1 😄
Axelsen's smash angle is so deadly..Lift doesn't work for him. His only weakness is body shot.
lmao you sound so stupid, probably a balding old guy
I think any respectful person who is playing against the world no.1 is going to try their hardest. It would be completely disrespectful for a player weaker than Viktor to play without the intention of winning. Imagine being the world no.1 and traveling all the way from Denmark to Washington to play some exhibition matches against a young rising badminton player only for him to mess around and throw the game. As a competitor, it is only respectful to take an opponent stronger than you, and who has given you the opportunity to challenge them, seriously. I would say 99% of athletes share this sentiment.

no ladao so easy
That’s why we love the Danes, they’re showman, understand how to entertain the crowd, contrast that with the mainland Chinese, even the great Lin Dan is a peasant, has no personality or charm, a product of the CCP, so awkward and has no personality.
viktor is cringe
What?
this is just for entertainment bruh. if everyone is so serious then this event will be very boring.
id argue whether ur life is better
