I remember this - we were on our school trip to Austria, skiing. This was playing on the plane as we were boarding. What fantastic memories of that day and that holiday. I loved being a kid in the 80's.
Thank you for posting it. This video used to be shown on a jumbo screen in a bustling shopping, entertainment area of Tokyo for some time about 20 years ago.
Used to listen to Tom Ferrie on Radio Scotland on most weekdays between 10.00pm & Midnight when i was in my teens and he would play this tune when reading out requests . Brings back lots of happy memories. Great tune and glad to have found it on here.
Thank you so much for posting the video. I have been a fan of Mezzoforte since 1982. I am so happy that the band is still active. My dream is to view a joint live performance between Mezzoforte and Casiopea. Casiopea is a Japanese jazz/funk band and has been popular globally.
This is Scandinavias brasilians - from Iceland!? How can one live is such a cold a rough place and make warn party and long drink music of this kind? OUTSTANDING and absolutely awesome. Eythor Gunnarsson is one of the best funk keyboardist in time! I love you all!
the track had remixed by dutch trance group the sunclub back in 1999 in their album splash..i was looking for this track since then but i never got it yet..that is for clubbers and this is for easy lsiteners...great tune...mezzaforte93.... thanks for the upload
I loved this song and this band almost 30 years ago when I first heard them and I still love them today, one of the very few bands that's been a part of almost my entire life, Viva Mezzoforte!!! Thank you so very much for the music!!!
Hey MezzoForte, last night I was playing poker with a few friends, we deciced to put this LP (surprise, surprise) on. Nobody knew what it was, actually we thought it might be metal or rock (since the cover had a demon, or something on a strange planet..), but I turned out to this easy jazz LP. haha we had a blast, we all liked this stuff. Great LP!
Sometimes a long forgotten song..tune or whatever comes back into your mind and when it does it brings back so many memories....this is it for me !!!! Its fantastic i love it and it reminds me of my youth growing up in the 80,s....Now i found it i,ll keep coming back to it again and again.
Just being Icelandic , you should see their volunteer Warriors never mentioned but have always played a key role in every combat, even now in Ukraine teaching how to clear mines and how to dispose of mines and defuse bombs, good to have a good ally in any situation, and also a fears Warriors. If needed
@sydneynorgren, I agree with you - this piece was so different to everything else at the time. "Garden Party" made it into the lower reaches of the Australian Top 40 chart in September 1983. I bought a copy of the 45 single for about 50 cents at a second hand store in Sydney a couple of years later.
Thank you for posting the movie. I am a Japanese fan of the band. I have grown up with Mezzoforte and Casiopea. In my personal view, Mezzorote's songs are more melodious than Casiopea's ones many of which feature technical aspects. I love both!
Man, this tune is brilliant. I used to have a pair of big ass AR speakers (BEFORE they fucked them up) with super crisp sound and I used to crank it up till where the music first really gets going. Man, it was sooo cool
This song reminds me of my younger years, when I was about 20.would put this tune in my all time top 10.(just bought it on iTunes, let's get it back in the charts ).
Wow, haven't heard this tune for years! I heard it last saturday on the Dutch radioprogramme "Soul Show", and after listening I looked up youtube for this song. And there it is! The last times I heard this song must be about 5 years ago or so. Music as music should be, without the frills. Great track! I will never loose it again ;)
One of my favourite bands -all the way since 1983. God, doesn't time fly? Eythor Gunnarrson is one of my all time favourite keyboard players - a genius no less!
This song has been running around in my head for many years. I knew the name of the song but couldn't remember the name of the artist/band. Thank you for a brilliant song. And thank you for posting on youtube. I never would have found it otherwise.
Oh this tune reminds me of going to an audition for "The Schools week of dance" just because it was during my Maths class (I hated Maths).Thing is I got picked!!! & ended up performing a football themed dance to this for a whole 2 weeks at a theatre!!! (at least I missed another 2 weeks of maths.
Iceland gave us the "Huh" at the Euros in France 2016, but back in 1983 they gave us this track, out of the nowhere we were hit with this club smasher, they produced a track which was the surprise of 1983, it also went national, they never quite hit the heights after this, a track which shows the universal power of music
i totally appreciate the old songs than the new ones that influences the teens today, which contains bad or inapropriate words. Many of my classmates told me that why am i listening to this kind of music, i told them also, why do you also listen to that kind of music??? They didnt answer.... ^_^
My friends Mum took me and him to see them live somewhere in central London, when I was about 10, we got invited back stage and I met David 'kid' Jensen. Witch was nice.
I remember buying this back in the day they were huuuuuuuge in the UK. Cheers for posting.

Thank you upload ... Comment from Japan.

How can a couple of Icelandic guys create such a funky song? One of the pleasant surprises of the 80s
Just being Icelandic , you should see their volunteer Warriors never mentioned but have always played a key role in every combat, even now in Ukraine teaching how to clear mines and how to dispose of mines and defuse bombs, good to have a good ally in any situation, and also a fears Warriors.
