Painting eyes in Jelly Gouache

- Hello friends, I've finally gotten around to experiment more with the Himi Miya Jelly Gouache.
For these eye paintings, I started out using the paint like watercolors, thin washes, and then slowly build up with thicker, more opaque paint. I painted eyes with acrylics a while ago, the only difference between the two mediums is that, gouache can be reactivated if you wet it after it's dried. So you need to be careful if you revisit a dried area with a wet brush. It has its pros and cons, it's just something I need to get used to!
Hope u enjoy this one! :)

I love the painting, it's absolutely beautiful. I really like how gouache is in between watercolor and acrylics, it's the middle child lol, everything has pros and cons, it all depends on what the user thinks ^^ Thank you for this video
Yepp i agree! Its a more forgiving medium too, compare to watercolor! U can go thick and cover any mistakes! 😋
Inlove with ur paintings.
Thank youu so much! Glad u enjoyed them🎈🥰
Many new artists ask if they can use gouache as watercolours, so the answer is - YES. Just you have to control the amount of water which controls the opacity. If this method is hard for you take an empty half pan and dry the paint. Then you can use it as watercolour. Though the paint is dry it will be same vibrant as fresh ones.
Correct me if I'm wrong....😊
