When Grace got to the studio for this session, Chimy and I hadn't yet come up with an arrangement for the song. Rather than talking it over beforehand, Grace suggested we record a "practice" take to get some ideas.
Well this is that take! A one- take wonder with the incredible Grace :)

I keep being amazed by Martina's voice. I know nothing about music or singing, and I'm not into jazz music at all.
But since the day I watched Adam Neely's video about the song Garota de Ipanema and heard this wonderful singing, I can't feel the same any more.
For realz! I randomly came across a video of her singing “Avalon” with the ‘early bird jazz’ group a few years ago and I was like “oh damn!” And had to look her up and find her channel.
