R16 is doing its best to eliminate this and create a judging rubric but at the same time, they're receiving lot of criticism saying that it limits the freestyling aspect of bboying. But I personally like it because there needs to be a method to eliminate biased judging and have universal rubric.

If u have a good relationship with the judgests (crew, friends, or family), u will be the champion. Bbot wing and lilou are the example of the worst judgests. In 2008, Lilou never voted for Korean bboys cause he doesnt like them. In 2011, Bboy wing was the only judgest who voted for hong 10 and Vero (both are from jinjo Crew and they are KOREANS)

You said Eagle did too much footwork....I say you're wrong....you see...Eagle seems did powermove a lot...And it's sick...But it doesn't wrong when a B-Boy only use footwork for battle....like B-Boy Born....Even he only use footwork for battle but his footwork kills the beat and sick...He battled once with B-Boy Ronnie in Red Bull BC One 2005 but he lost....But still he's the best nowadays
I say Monkey won - Eagle was dope, no doubt but all he did was powermoves. At least Monkey was a bit more well-rounded. he had footwork, power, and better top-rock skills. Y'all see the last 90's move eagle did and say he won from that alone? NAH!
It was judged based on the criteria of that time. In those days it used to be said that power alone couldn't get you through a whole 1v1 competition because it would get repetitive and power wasn't as advanced today where Bboys have mastered it to be on beat. So Bboys like Iron Monkey would take a battle if they should variables to their styles. Something the US was already known for. So in those days Monkey won but watching this battle today Eagle was much more clean in his execution and his sets had sequence, chained his moves as opposed to where Iron had to get up and reset after every other move. So Eagle based on today's judging system really won but I feel the same way about battles from back then where US teams would battle Koreans and European teams and lose even though the US was more complete and had their fundamentals down as opposed to the experimental moves many were doing back then and sometimes not even having good execution.
@@MacMac1313 im coming back to say, eagle complete destroys iron monkey, its simple.. he put your style in your powermoves, have sick combos too, and very clean executions, iron monkey on last session try "copy" powermoves but crashed like a idiot, iron monkey lacks soo much of try putting your flavor in your moves obs : he tried but your moves its like a baby sleeping
