I heard somewhere that Kataklysm and Cryptopsy's drummers would try to out-blast each other in the 90s. They're about equal in speed, though Max could do them for a longer time, at least back then. In the long run, Flo won, because Max started cheating, using gravity blasts for the snare hits, and now I don't even know if he plays anymore since he left Kataklysm. Flo still does 100% legit hyperblasts at 50 years old, which is nuts. Both bands, past and present, though with a few hiccups, kick ass.
I started to know Kataklysm with their album Serenity In Fire, and it was sick. Until I discover this gem, holyyy!! that build up at 28:33, holy shit man....!
I usually don’t like when bands change there style but the 2 albums with sylvaine are great. And I also love iacomo, Pretty much I like all their stuff I know there will be a lot of people disagree with me but who the hell am I anyways the judge

This is the magnum opus. Imagine making an album so good you actually can't top it this early in your career as a musician.

@@catbeardbeardcathis vocals sound like absolute horse shit on that album IMO completely ruins the album. His vocals on this album are much better.

Don't get the attraction of his vocals in the Temple album. They were all over the place in the most unfitting way possible.
