I was born a freckled child in a land far away during a much simpler time. I did well in school until it counted. As a freshman in high school I had dreams of going to Notre Dame and becoming a lawyer. By the time I was sophomore I was taking shop class and was considering getting into construction. I ended up working in warehousing and unloading trucks. Other than stand up, that job was the most fun I ever had.
I am now a stand up comedian. I do a couple hundred shows a year. And I enjoy the travel. I’ve done four hour-long stand-up specials: “Why Do I Do This”, “Let It Go”, “You People Are All The Same” and “I’m Sorry You Feel That Way.” I host a podcast each week called The Monday Morning Podcast. And I have an animated series on Netflix called: ‘F’ Is For Family.’ Occasionally I act in movies but only when they let me.

I totally agree with Bill's thoughts on drinking and aging. I first noticed at 27 that I simply couldn't handle like I used to when I was younger. And over the past 6-7 years I've slowly whittled it down to the point where instead of just trying to avoid hangovers, then avoiding even getting drunk (try to get a buzz and then sustain it for however long), and now I barely touch the stuff anymore. It's crazy, less than a year ago I was drinking almost every night, but I've hardly touched the stuff since last May (8 months ago).

It's honestly the only beer I still enjoy. I still love Heineken and Carona, but more than 2 of them and I get a horrible headache (again, something that just came with age). So I don't even buy it anymore. Now, if I'm ever at a party an that's all they have, however.....

Yes, I'm sure that is true, but did Hitler ever give good advice to Mussolini who then imparted that pearl of wisdom to a third person? I think people in general are pretty forgiving. Most people will grant a "bad guy" in a movie their redemption with something as simple as a single good act. I still don't think I would take life advice from them though.

This guest is like me, i’m funny, but my friend astounds me with how funny he can be, so i adapt silly ways he speaks or phrases he’s made up without even thinking about it.
He does Bill’s silly little voice a lot.

Bill I’ve only just discovered your podcast and i love it. I’m a huge fan of your work in other media and I’d like to give you some small advice on recording quality. You need to reduce reverb (echo) you can either do this by minimising recording space or using a dynamic mic with a pop shield which gets rid of the ‘P’ and the ‘S’ and the ‘T’ that catches the ear. Again thanks very much i hope that helps and maybe improves your recordings.
Two good suggestions of microphones for you are the Shure SM58’s (budget) and the Audio Technica AT2020 or AT2050 (mid to higher range)
An SM58 by Shure or an AT2020/AT2050 by Audio Technica would be good for your needs you may also want to get a Focusrite Scarlet which is an interface for the two microphones to plug into (assuming you’re interviewing) and then the Focusrite just plugs into your computer by USB
