    Thanks heaps Jen! Until I watched this I didn't realise there was a woven alternative to the interfacing I get from the Australian big box store! Gonna order some straight away!

    Thanks for the tutorial. Do you have the pattern drafting video?

      Glad you enjoyed it! I'm not sure what pattern drafting video you're referring to though, I'm sorry.

    Jen, any reason not to do the buttonholes after the button bands are done, rather than at the end of the project? Thanks. Your tutorials are an education in themselves!

      @GrainlineStudioSewing  Před 3 lety

      I like to do it at the end because as you attach the collar and hem the band, depending on accuracy, etc. the buttonholes can shift slightly from where you wanted them. It's also nice to try the shirt on with them marked and make sure they hit where you want them to. But if you want to put them in at that step go for it!

      @@GrainlineStudioSewing That makes perfect sense. Thanks! Keeping happy in the lockdown, sewing along with your great videos. 😊

    Hi Jen! I have a question about the right front. You don't do the second line of stitches in the right placket? I know this is the one that is hidden behind the other one, but it may show if you don't completely button up your shirt right? Should we do the second line of stitches on both plackets if we plan to ware it not completely closed? Thank you for the nice lessons!

      @GrainlineStudioSewing  Před 3 lety +1

      You can do a second line if you want to, it's not structural so it's completely up to you. I don't but if you like that look go for it!

    On your instructions you dont say to fold the raw edge under by half an inch. If you didnt have a sew along then i wouldnt know and id be guessing. Maybe you need to refresh your instructions?

    • @GrainlineStudioSewing
      @GrainlineStudioSewing  Před 2 lety +1

      The instructions say to press the seam allowance under, which is 1/2" as stated at the beginning of the instructions. We don't call out every seam allowance in the instructions because they're all the same and it gets overly wordy.
