Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, and Beast are voiced by their original VAs. Gambit, Jean, Bishop and Jubilee were recast, though I believe their original VAs are voicing other characters in the show. Magneto and Cyclops were also recast, as their original voice actors David Hemblen and Norm Spencer both sadly passed away in 2020. I was devastated when I learned that the original voice of Cyclops had died at the age of 62.

I grew up with the series and think it's great so far. This show definitely ain't for the same group as the original show. You hear words like "damn" in it, the themes are more mature, and the violence is more graphic.

I've watched the three episodes available and am enjoying it quite a bit myself. I'd argue it's targeting broadly the same demo just with relaxed content guidelines. Really my only criticism is that while I appreciate it's condensing VERY long running storylines into watchable lengths, it looks like it's buckling under the restriction of a ten episode order. And for an aesthetic nitpick: everyone's wearing too much eyeliner! Other than those minor things though, I think it's off to a good start, a fun watch, and a solid continuation of a show I enjoyed as a teenager!

I didn’t think Disney would go back to a classic and continue on with it. Usually if they make something from a old thing they make a new show of it. I was expecting a new X-Men show. Even though Sony owns Spider man I wonder if we will get a contribution of the 90s show because that needs one because it seems like it ended in a cliffhanger. X-Men didn’t

If we do, it likely won't be for a while as the Spider-Man: Freshmen Year show (which I know changed its branding but I don't remember what to) is next on deck (unless plans have changed). That said, 90s Spidey crossed over with 90s X-Men so who knows, maybe he'll be rolled into the '97 show.
