"Something Special" - Eddie Vedder sings to his daughter during Pearl Jam's performance of new song

- Pearl Jam plays a song off their new album and while doing so Eddie Vedder's daughter makes her way to the edge of the stage to surprise her father in a touching moment. It's hard to tell if he knew she was at the venue or if it was a total surprise, but he refers to her as his angel and greets her during and after the song.
Josh Klinghoffer, Pearl Jam's percussionist, backup vocalist and keyboardist - and unofficial seventh member of the band - is seen playing guitar.

Got back from Vegas yesterday. Both shows were incredible and this was a fantastic moment from Saturday night.
THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL EDDIE SINGING TO HIS BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER HARPER. THIS MAN AND THE BAND HAS BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH. GOOD TIMES BAD TIMES AND SOME VERY SAD AND TRAGEDY TIMES AND A WHOLE LOT OF LOSS. IT'S ABOUT TIME FOR THEM TO HAVE FUN AND TO BE GOOFY, THAT IS JUST FINE. PEARL JAM DESERVES SOME FUN AND HAPPINESS AND JUST DO WHAT THEY DO BEST AND MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY AND JOIN TOGETHER SING THEIR LUNGS OUT!! I AM SO PROUD OF PEARL JAM AND THEIR LOYAL FANS, PJ FANS ARE THE BEST, I AM PROUD TO BE PEARL JAM FAMILY. This is Pearl Jam’s “Waitin’ on a Sunny Day”. A very ordinary song musically but it means something special to them so go for it. It’s already become a concert staple and I’m cool with that.

I’m with you! Crappy desperate song. It’s for the one daughter then at the end of the song he throws his other kid in last minute😂😂he co wrote with that jason guy. I’ll blame it on him. How this song is hitting people in the feels is beyond me.

It's called maturing and evolving. I've been a fan of this band since I discovered them in my 20s. In my 60s now.. and as a father and soon to be grandfather, this song hits hard. One of my favorites on the album. He's growing older.. as we all are. Time marches on...

Dude....he is 60 years old and they have been successful for over 30 years. He is still clearly passionate about various social, political, economic and global issues, but he is also a Dad? to two daughters who are now one I think just went off to college and the other is starting high school? The "angry furious" eddie you love is on record and they have been doing professional bootlegs since 2000. It's still there for you if or when you want it. Let him have a moment with his kid haha

That's not him anymore. But all of that has been captured for all eternity. It's there if you want to listen to it or watch it. This is where he is now, where we all would be fortunate to get one day.
I am not hating on him at all, he is a huge part of my life. Just saying that going to a PJ concert these days is not the same as it once was. I will always be a fan. But let’s be honest this is not a PJ song, if this song was on his solo album is a different story. Anyways just an opinion.
