Friday Night Dinner is a British television sitcom written by Robert Popper and starring Tamsin Greig, Paul Ritter, Simon Bird, Tom Rosenthal, and Mark Heap. - Komedie
It was actually so good to see Martin get angry after she insults them all. Paul Ritter is such a good actor
I loved him in the series VERA đ
I knowđđđ so good
Three things came out of leftfield for me.
Cynthia unloading on everyone
Martin finally growing a spine and shouting at his mother for all he has had to endure
And Cynthia dying
Ik I was like finally thank god he did something
Its a bit annoying that whenever I see him in anything, even though he is a good actor, I keep thinking squirrel.
At least Martin managed to stand up against his mother
Yeah I was so proud of him
Hardly she would of been out that door face first within the first minute in my family

That can be a sign of shock actually, a relative of my Grandma's was involved in a bud crash in which the driver was killed instantaneously and she just couldn't stop laughing.
Plus she was abusive to him and everyone else she ever met.

Well, she disappeared in the end.
I wanted them to show that bit. I couldn't believe it! When Martin was sobbing it was so sad... and then he burst out laughing.
Jim: â Sorry again Martin, for killing your mother, but in a way I sort of, made her disappear.â

Ghowe 5 ding dong the bellends gone
i love how martin only snaps after she insults jackie, thatâs the final straw for him. thatâs love right there
I mean he actually snapped after she insulting him for marrying her
Pretty normal for any guy or man - they can tolerate only so much, even if it means further torment on themselves.
But the moment the target of abuse shifts towards his family, they snap, regardless of who is dishing out the abuse.

I loved this scene, mainly because itâs Martin finally standing up to his mother after being treated badly his whole life. Cynthia was a horrible person and she treated Martinâs family awfully! She deserved all that Martin said to her!
eeeew it sounds really bad sounds a bit more serious than funny grannys totally different from her other charater in gimme gimme
@@wongwingsang3036 I know right. She was great in Gimme Gimme.
I loved it too, it reminds me of the 60's programme please sir when Dennis finally stands up to his abusive pig of a dad and punches him on the nose and he says to hedges (Dennis's teacher) if he wanted to work at that brewery so much then why didn't he just say so?" And then he replies the best quote ever in my opinion "Because Mr Dunstable, he's only just learned your language" (as in Violence) it is an excellent programme.
It's Cynthia

Jim did with his magic.
Honestly, this episode was probably the best episode of the series so far. The way they finally stood up to Horrible Grandma was just perfect, and made way for probably the darkest and funniest moment in the show to date. I can't help thinking that beneath it all, Cynthia really did love her family, no matter how horrible her exterior was. Seeing her own son stand up to her like that after so long can't be easy, and I think that's what put the nail in the coffin (literally!) I hope they upload the clip of when Jim makes her "disappear!"
What ep is it?
I don't think she did love them. I am speaking as someone whose grandmother resents her three children (my father and two aunts) and their families as they were all accidents and took away the best years of her life and tied her permanently to an abusive alcoholic (my grandfather).
Yeah! Thatâd be great!
