the drivers and riggers should be commended for their professionalism. i was rapt when the plates came out. i have done many tandem lifts and these guys are a credit to their training.

Gotta love the safety shoes they are wearing in that vid, ive gotta get a pair of those when working on building sites, and not to mention the safety hat aswell, that'd be great at stopping things from crushing feet and skull if dropped, must tell my manager at building sites to get them.
Those safety shoes are great -- No broken laces, Easy off and on, If they have the little green electrical triangle they would be perfect. The ones you see them wearing at 21:30 are the best though

No you dont need operator licences over there just a car licence which you buy from the cambodia transport department no test or anything like that
Total armatures that could have been done with one tow truck halve the size providing pulling power while the excavator drove out. You see people like HeavyD do that kind of rescue all the time.
Give this people a break, Cambodia is so far behind in life, for them to do that it is wonderful.
People should not be so fast in judging, instead they should learn how to be friendly and helpful.

A good machine driver would have got this out without the use of crane's.

Knife edge steel plates, heavy crane hook's and other tackle, climbing on slippery parts of the excavator. I examined carefully and every one seemed to have the normal amount of toes and fingers despite flip flop safety boots. Do we in the West worry too much ?. Mind you didn't notice many older workers !.

Not using mats to spread the weight in wet and sloppy conditions will always be a bad situation when using an excavator.

I love watching excavator and dozer at work and i can't lie. Great fun video to watch.
MS doZer - yes it is a bit strange, most grown men become like little boys when they see big machines at work, they can forget both time and place. It probably has something to do with the fact that the little boy never completely disappears from most men's minds, the things they admired then are not forgotten and then the progress comes into the picture too. The difference between older and the new machines, but a small old tired machine can interest as much as a big new one of the latest variety. I must admit I like to see large machines work, especially if they are operated by a skilled operator. But must also admit that a clumsy operator can be just as entertaining (or annoying) as an expert in his field 😊

Let's see we have a 6-axle KATO crane. That KATO is at least a 150-ton machine but we are going over the side quadrant instead of the rear quadrant. A lot of suction force by the soil on that excavator. Seems like the 2nd crane is overkill. Would have brought in a front-end loader and gravel and timbers. Use the hydraulics on the excavator to get it up over the gravel and then take it out unless the crane's engine doesn't work. The one smart thing I see here is not trying to attach the crane slings to the tracks in lifting. Always want to be lifting above the load's center of gravity!! Also like the bare feet and flip flops.
