Ok let me CLARIFY! The torpedo can't get out of water ONCE IT HIT WATER. Otherwise, it will just fall, like an actual torpedo. I'm pretty surprised you didn't tried to shoot it IN WATER, toward a boat or something.
Also, I assume the torpedo on the picture is shot from an helicopter.
