    So interesting that Rosemary has been re-classified as a sage! I put sage in all our winter teas to help with colds- but maybe it was helping other things I did not know!

    Last year I made a Sage, Echinacea leaves and flowers, Peppermint, Honey and 80% alcohol tincture. Both my husband and I used it during our dance with Covid. It totally reduced our sore throat within a day. I love the Sage.
    I am guessing that sage will also help with the inflammation caused from a Traumatic Brain Injury. Seven years ago I suffered one after a near death accident. Since then I have very limited taste and smell and no hunger, as well as balance problems and no sense of being tired. I will start to drink some of my dehydrated sage. THANK YOU & GOD BLESS you for all that you share here.

    I use common garden sage to make smudge sticks and fluff to burn in a shell like incense. I learned that the smoke of sage attaches itself to a virus and causes it to fall out of the air, so it sanitizes the air in a room. It balances positive and negative ions in a house when closed in for winter. Native Folklore says it drives out evil spirits, probably because balancing ions has positive affect on mood. I don't use it much in cooking but wish I did, never seems to match the meal. I struggle with the strong taste of sage tea, but maybe with lemon, hubby says all my teas taste like lemonade,lol. Thanks for the inspiration.

      I tried growing the pineapple sage in pots but wasn't successful. Both my plants died. I was growing it for the flowers and also thought the leaves would be great as a tea. I have been growing the white sage for more than 5 years in pots and is growing wonderfully. Kinda sad that the pineapple one didn't grow for me 🤔

    • @HerbsWithRosalee
      @HerbsWithRosalee  Před 11 měsíci

      It is okay if that is all you can get. Here are some ways you can find herbs:
      1. Search for herbal apothecaries near you.
      2. Visit Rosalee’s listing of herb farms and wildcrafters within the US and Canada to find fresh herbs near you. www.herbalremediesadvice.org/Herb-Farms-Wildcrafters.html
      3. Visit Mountain Rose Herbs, an online apothecary that sells high quality organic herbs. They are Rosalee’s first choice for herbs she’s not able to find near her. bit.ly/2KXdWIA

    In my yard growing wild is both Broad and narrow Leaf plantain, as well as mullein in my garden I have Sage, Rosemary, and lemon balm, as well as several types of mint, including marjoram and oregano. Is it possible to just pick a handful of leaves from each and make a tea with the fresh leaves? If so how would I compare the dry to the fresh. I do have a small dehydrator but I'm wondering if I can skip that step. Thank you very much I am really loving your Channel. I think that an herbalist certification is in my future.
