Second album, Fearless. Recording, promotion and tour covered ages 17-19. Quite an intense time for someone so young. Huge hits, cast in Gary Marshall’s movie Valentine’s Day where she played a popular girl dating a jock (not a mean girl, just a bit dizzy & silly). She dated her movie boyfriend for a short time (Taylor Lautner from Twlighlight). She did the breaking up and has admitted she regretted not giving him a fair chance. He got a good song Back to December on Speak Now, they are still friends and he appeared in the video for the Speak Now Vault track I Can See You. A lot of his impressive martial arts movies were done in front of the Back to December tour piano. Then she won her first MTV award for You Belong With Me (a great video, perfect for the song) and had her first Kayne encounter when he jumped on stage and took the mic. She thought the audience was booing her not him. It left quite an impression and a deep need to prove she deserved to be there. Given how things have gone since, I find it interesting that when Speak Now TV was released she premiered the video for I Can See You at the Kansas City Eras tour. She had the cast on stage (she’s also friends with Taylor Lautner’s wife, also called Taylor), so an old boyfriend did some impressive flips in front of a concert goer who was wanting to be (and became) the new man in her life.

I appreciate Taylor, but I don’t qualify as a swifty. This is the only album I own because an ex bought it for me (he loved that I sang along with every song on the radio) but this album is what made me realize what an incredible songwriter she is. The whole thing is amazing you should look into some of her earlier country stuff!
