- While weed laws are becoming more progressive in many states across the US, cannabis cultivation can still get you some serious prison time in the UK.
Most smokers have no idea where their buds come from, but the higher demand and continued criminalisation of weed in the UK has engendered a black-market supply chain of human deprivation: ‘Cannabis slaves’, often trafficked from Vietnam, are forced to tend to massive grows worth millions in street value - completely against their will.
For spliff connoisseurs who have been smoking their whole adult lives and hold down regular jobs and have families, picking up poor-quality hydroponic weed from dodgy dealers in blacked out cars or down dark alleyways has become less and less desirable. Guerrilla growers are an online community of cannabis cultivators in the UK who harvest their weed plants in the wild, hiding in plain sight sometimes on the side of motorways.
Growing certain strains of cannabis that can withstand the British climate, many have been supplying themselves and their friends with hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of organic weed for almost a decade. It’s all grown outside in the sun, bypassing dealers and without being traced by the police.
Our drugs editor, Max Daly, linked us up with two guerrilla growers who were about to retire from the cultivation game, just as they were harvesting their last ever crop.

yes but if you own 61g at home you go to jail for 3 months and same for 31g outside. But if your THC value is below 7,5% of 61g dry weed you are punished with high money fees. But I dont even know a strain with less than 15% THC 😅Its legal but too easy to become criminal by accident... (also only 3 plants)

Really like these guys, they've got a great attitude to weed growing. Doing it for quality and their pleasure instead of purely for profit. The cannabis laws in Britain are just plain stupid, as are the laws concerning any drugs here. I don't use THC anymore, just CBD, but I'd happily do this if I was using weed regularly.

I've been doing this for 8 years, now I have 14 plants in the yard with apicals and great production. This has left me a lot of money and to my partners who do the resale, I don't regret anything. Just because they move locations doesn't mean law enforcement can't find former locations. Former locations can very easily give clues to who they are, where they're going, where they've been etc. This is extremely basic detective work. Also, there's cameras all over the UK and Western Europe. Far more than the US or many other countries. People who are claiming Vice is giving away too much, have a valid argument.
I know they retired as well, but retiring doesn't obsolve you of former crimes.

The leading party has absolutely no idea and doesn't make a secret out of the fact that they're just keeping cannabis illegal because thats what they've always done. They don't even get into fact based arguments, they just make up their own fake facts which keep their argument going for the arguments' sake.
Quite often I think about leaving the country, specifically to move to Canada. What a shame that would be; im a highly specialized chemical technician and Germany needs us. But if nothing happens soon, I think Im gone for good.

@Cayenne Captain It probably depends on the place and the regulations and law enforcement they have. Here in Argentina you can get any strain at a better price than anywhere in the US because it's almost impossible to get caught for weed in cities, tho I'm not sure how it is in towns. If they catch you with a small amount they'll let you go, and now you can just get a license for growing, even though selling I not legal. Also you won't get caught because someone's tracking your water/electricity bills and there's no undercover cops for weed. It's funny how a smoker will probably be safer and happier here than in Canada just because of how cheap and easy it is to get, you can literally get it from Facebook marketplace. Also our economy is fucked so it's even cheaper for foreigners lol.

Smoking or consuming weed may harm(or kill) people indirectly unless its used to treat some illness, even then in required quantities else may lead to usage dependency, mental illness, lung diseases from smoking weed(carcinogens in weed smoke may cause cancer), reduced attention span, problems related to memory and learning skills, lethargy, brain fog, affects sexual health, etc., causing relationship issues, work related problems, accidents, etc., which may cause injuries, may kill you, may lead to depression, etc. but medical marijuance has its own benefits unlike using it just to get high.

I live in a Mediterranean climate and grow. I knew a guy who had a ton of various seeds, about 50, and slipped down to a very pure river, planted them a couple inches deep in very sandy soil, one inch into the water table in dappled not the best light. Month later into season, they looked the same as one week in, so were transplanted in a rolled paper. Rodents and mold had killed a few others, I don't think they grew to adulthood down there but a fun experiment. Once 6 transplanted (CA law, USA) 4 grew up. I forget if that was the time they all declared male but might've been. Frikken 1/16 chance
