Damn the pianist knows what he's doing. Flugelhorn solo was dope as well xD.
Most people call it trumpet, whatever it's shape bruh😂. I'm glad that you say it's flugelhorn
Jeremia Elang if it makes you feel better, I know the different between a euphonium and a tuba. 😂
@@markd2797 The horn's name reminds me of an Abbott and Costello bit.
Abbott: Is that a euphonium?
Costello: Atsa notta my phonium !!
The tenor solo was way more killin
@Mark D - Au contraire mon frere....damn the fluglehorn player is A dope and does NOT know what he''s doing, and clearly neither do you!
He should stick to the melody because his improvisation was _terrible._ He needs to work more on ad libing instead of posing and throwing his weight around at other members of the band.
Give them a break. Good contribution from all the soloists. Especially like the sax solo and hear a Joe Henderson influence there. Wish I could play like that and I'm at it thirty years.
I wish I had a piano player like this guy in my band. Awesome
This music will nor die! Next generation running with the baton.
It's always pleasing to hear the next generation playing jazz. Keep going guys, it's a lifetime's journey. I would say, get away from the chart as soon as you can and feel each other a bit more. The flugel player didn't need to be so eager to solo, let the pianist do his thing, he's the musical leader of the band. Tenor solo was so considered in its build-up, really told a story.
Nice job guys!
I noticed how anxious he was! Lol
Came for a quick listen and stayed for the whole song. Very cool.
Great job guys! Ordinary mortals have no idea how difficult it is to do what your'e doing. You give me great hope for the future of music, and I wish you huge success!
Feels good to see young musicians playing the jazz! Really enjoyed this one. Greetings from Germany :)
Sax Horn and Piano: ba ba do beep dun dun WOOjsh woosh
Guitar: pentatonic scale, take it or leave it.
The use of distortion was also very interesting.
Guitar needs to pratice more
I too dropped in for a quick listen but had to stay for the entire tune, great job and very inspiring, now I have go pick up my guitar
You are absolutely tremendous. Keep playing and your lives will always be fulfilled.
That drummers cross stick improv is phenomenal
Yeah, besides them being obviously nervous, this is a great performance!
The beat is rock solid. That's not a given. Great song...great ensemble!
You guys are fantastic!
Que gran versión!!!! Suena de maravilla, FELICIDADES!!!!
Wow... Its fantastic performance.
Kudos to you all! Absolutely enjoyed it. Keep up the great work
such a great video!! I like the individual solos, but moreover I appreciate you playing all together !! music is a teameffort!! well done guys:)
Universally dope! Great job!
Fantastic!!!!!!!
this guy really felt it, you know who I am talking about 🙌🏻
GRANDE 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Where is Dwight Dawkins now? That young man MUST keep playing. There is real talent there.
Fantastic!
Wonderful!

Great job❤️🚀
Amazing solo
Maravillosos todos: teclado, batería, bajo, guitarra, trombón y saxofón. Suenan muy originales
Non e una trompeta
Well done!

Me and a couple friends are looking at starting a combo! This is really great!
Dont forget to smile in a live gig.

Hermoso
sax and keyboard :D
I love how the pianist gives a salsa touch to the song! Very latin.
Bravo
Sabrooooosooooo🎉
Keep slayin
Nice is the word,great......☮️🔛🌎+🎶
Thoughtful sax solo
WOW! Just WOW! Amazing! I really, really enjoyed your interpretation of this all time classic. Fantastic, please keep on jazzin' :D
That's awesome 👏 👏👏
I uploaded my play for this tune now too.
Your collaboration is very good 👍
Damn the pianists ostinatos are awesome
Young bloods in the mix. 👍🏿
Wow super
Thumb up!.

I though was good Blue Bossa piano solo with a bit of latin salt and pepper
Pretty damn good, however I have a few critiques, here's one for the guitarist. You seem to be strumming the chords which is fine, however, for blue bossa I would use a vamp like bossa nova style plucking the chords, rather than strumming them. Also flugelhorn, I would say for the solo have less flash and more focus on the melody and rythmn and how it all ties in with the chords. Same for the saxophone player but to a lesser extent.
I really liked the sax solo it was melodic and had those flashes of repetition. Trumpet needs some work
It's a flugelhorn, not trumpet
Jeremia Elang point still stands
cant be giving out advice if u cant tell difference between flugel and trumpet, just sayin
Clemsongator 321 I do know the difference I was simply lackadaisical in my word choice, literally everything still stands regardless of what I called the instrument
😍
nice piano
Yeah and that guy owns a nice flugelhorn, too.😎
@@faustus5481 Pshh bet you can't play better.
@@Russianboyz95 - Better keep your day job if you have one, because you're no psychic. I'm a professional musician, Nostradumbass. lol
@@faustus5481 Yeah, very "professional" of you. Idiot.
you are perfect pianisttttt find me lion! :D
Great job! Nice soloing. Fantastic bass and drums as well. Keep it up!
Kudo to the pianist who obviously listened to the great Horace
kereeen mantapoo
awesome keep on going! these people making comments as if they can do better.
Woww
really liked the piano and guitar solo
Why they all looking back at pianist like "ya done?"
I know right like if he's feeling it then let the man finish
It's because the pianist is playing a completely different melodic melody that has a chord progression different from the progression of blue bossa but the progression of the piano complements the progression of blue bossa in a way that gives more flexibility and more resolve in the theoretical errors of blue bossa and combined with the upbeat tempo of the other melody and the bassist playing only the root and fifth of blue bossa gives the band as a whole a nineth chord progression that allows the wind players more flexibility in their solos
@@scottheffel3928what he said
@@Russianboyz95 didn't understand half of what the man said but yea like what he said
that's just your imagination and the toxic mindset, they're being filmed, they are young and not that experienced
Yo this was pretty lit, you could bring the flugelhorn out just a little bit more at certain climatic points but other than that it was awesome.
so true man,but I did enjoy the sax:)
Sharavan Duvvuri "....you could -bring- leave the flugelhorn out" a lot.
Good young players
And the bass solo?
Matias Villalobos wtf is wrong with u
haha:D it's there but you cant hear it;)
@@NeilKohlen There's someone in this band playing bass?😎
@@recalcitrist1 yeah the girl in the back who's going undercover:D
@@NeilKohlen - She's undercover because she's sleeping with the trumpet player, and they're both trying to keep it under wraps, so to speak.
(Edit: They're just sleeping.....nothing funny going on.😁)
They are just kids that’s great
Flugle man got some lungs, or was it circular breathing during the long staccato line? You're all good and keep playing every chance you can!
as an amateur sax player, you can just crank a 1 minute breath if you have control
O flughorn quebrou a corrente...😆😆
FUCK MAN THIS IS MARVELLOUS WOAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
The guitar tone is like 1960's surf rock, remember that the chords change, so you cannot use the same pentatonic scale over entire solo!!!
key change
The female bass player is really holding it down with that bottom on that bass! 🎻
I'm wondering how the bass player played the last note when her hands weren't even on the bass.
the force was with her:D
It's all done with mirrors.
@@faustus5481 haha true story man:D
The guitarist played that note.
@@NeilKohlen --- The rest of the story.....it was her imaginary friend in the mirror. lol
2:41
not feeling the distortion on the guitar solo, but good solo nonetheless
Ye same
Good To See Young Players Playing Jazz. While The Sax Solo Was Going On The Keyboard Was Too Busy. When We Combine To Play We Must Always BLEND Especially Taking A Lower Profile While Others Are Soloing. It's Musically Rude To "Step On Someone's Solo"...Some Cats Will Be Offended.
This is so beautiful, but you don't feel the music as a whole, it's like you look at each other "come on already, are you done with that solo yet?" kudos anyway its beautiful.
Marching band uniforms would have gone better with the music stands rather than those suits.😁
@@faustus5481 why are you so toxic
@@Russianboyz95 - A better question is.....why do dummies like you, with room-temperature IQs, infest CZcams with so many inane brain droppings?
@@faustus5481 Stop projecting, jeez.
@@faustus5481 it's people like you who destroy the art.
Liked them a lot. Thought the piano player kind of hogged the spotlight with too long of improv, and when he was comping behind other players he was too forceful, almost competing. Great potential tho.
Hey Guys..... Play at my next home Party - once covid nonsense is clear - & we have all had the jab... How much do to guys charge ??
guitar effects on the solo a no no
He is a kid yet, but he is a good musician.
Ye it sounded more like a rock solo
Tenor play must like trane and def sonny Rollins a little dexter
It’s pretty good. Just need to work on tempo a little. But overall good
Los asesinos del jazz
Aint that a flugel horn?
the bass player is very cute
It doesn't sound like bossa nova, it sounds like motuno, special the piano comping.
