If you do the sqrt2 maths it is easier and faster, you can do it in your head then. You will have 5^7/8 = 125^x then power to 3 or sqrt3 you will get with power 3, 125^7/8 = 125^3x then 7/8 = 3x and x= 7/24

I've never had any occasion in which something like this had any relevance. I've built bridges, and shelters without any of this. How is it not a waste of time?

RHS becomes 125^8x = (5³)^8x = 5^24x.
So x = 7/24.

Honestly it took me just a few seconds:
sqrt(5*sqrt(5*sqrt(5))) = sqrt(5)*sqrt(sqrt(5))*sqrt(sqrt(sqrt(5))) = 5^(1/2)*5^(1/4)*5^(1/8) = x^(7/8)

Or just rewrite the left hand side in a few steps as a 5 exponential, then
5^(7/8) = 5^3x

Would also say that is the faster solution. Actually he used that way for verifying his result.

After u know that 5=125^8x-2 and 125=5^3
So its 5=5^3(8x-2)
5^1=5^24x-6
Then 1=24x-6
