    VRyu is great, but Louffy is on another level. Everyone in here said he "came out of nowhere" but I watched his matches on the Euro circuit for a long time. Major respect.

    He won by using excellent fundamentals, the same way Daigo got his ass kicked by John Choi..... Rose has never been flashy so you will never see killer combos done by Rose players.. OP?.. ummm.. maybe she can use -5% on some moves but at the end of days, you can't win evo by luck my friend...

    Luffy bodied everybody in Evo tris year : Tokido, Misse, Pugera, Mago, Bonchan, Fuudo, Gackt etc... and few weeks before he beats Wong and Ryan Hart as well.
    This guy is in da place since a long time, but because he's french he doesn't have a lot of recognition I guess, racism factor play a nasty part in this...

      @Northwindbreeze Před 10 lety +3

      Don't do that,speaking for all of us. If he is French or not no civilized dude should care, the fact is,Rose is boring, he hasn't been under the spotlight long enough and the changes in the Ultra brought (whether we accept it or not )impact on the other former evo champs. We can't assume that all the other players fell off because of a couple of factors.

    That ex up punch is a good buff, but it does not make up for her nerfs in my opinion. Her command grab is even more unsafe while it can be escaped by walking back her hayate is mega unsafe while balrog, m.bison, adon, feilong can just sit in your face and chip. I feel you have to take way too many risks playing with her.

    • @mpaprodprod191
      @mpaprodprod191 Před 9 lety

      You mean ex up punch is an excellent buff ! look this punish on the Rose's spiral, light punch ex up punch to big damage combo. Before, I think Makoto can't punish the spiral like this (when you know it's THE rose'game). it's a big buff against Rose for Makoto. Louffy was smart with this unsafe spiral.

      Brennus LeGaulois Just because that bro, the D-pad have 4,2,6 and 8, but no 1,3,7 and 9 (the diagonals) I have one and to me it's almost impossible to make diagonals with it and wtb, is f*cking unconfortable when you press 4+2, 2+6, 4+8 or 8+6 to make diagonals with that joystick =/

    • @Blargel
      @Blargel Před 10 lety

      I'm a stick player who converted from pad recently. Directional input is something you just get used to for both of them. The only reason I switched to stick is because I was uncomfortable with pianoing and plinking on a pad. In other words, directional input isn't the problem, the actual buttons are.

    • @Adrianmartinyoutube
      @Adrianmartinyoutube Před 10 lety +1

      DanmakufuBlargel I use a xbox 360 joystick, so I haven't problems with diagonals, but, like you said, it's harder to make a plink than in a stick.

      @GETURHANDSUP916 Před 10 lety

      I think Luffy played amazingly at EVO this year plenty of amazing reads against top players from around the world. Ultra Street Fighter 4 helped in a way and he play god like but that's just my opinion. Also, admiration and respect isn't everything, you can't please everyone. Luffy is on of the King of the FGC in France, and all he knows is that everyone is bowing down to him over there lol.

    Are there no fucking OSes to punish Rose’s backdash? I swear to God Rose’s only fucking option on wake up is backdash, and Luffy gets away with it EVERY GODDAMN TIME. Can’t it be punished??? Sweep OS????? Jesus Christ.

    • @wildreams
      @wildreams Před 10 lety

      Hmm... Well, you can dash in on his wakeup, ultra if it reaches, or jump in on his wakeup, but yeah you have to take risks.. Except when Rose is cornered.

    • @mpaprodprod191
      @mpaprodprod191 Před 9 lety

      No guys there are many OS to punish the Rose's backdash. But you have to vary (grab, OS, mix up, cross up) because Louffy breaks OS with a focus backdash sometimes, or a ex sipral, and sometimes he just backdash. It's a mindgame and Louffy is good at this.

    • @mpaprodprod191
      @mpaprodprod191 Před 9 lety

      Overall, yes. Not bad enough that she isn't viable, but definitely worse than AE 2012 version. There are ghost nerfs that capcom hasn't mentioned before. But we will see a change in the upcoming patch I hope.

    • @gagapa76
      @gagapa76 Před 10 lety +1

      YoraiDragon mysterious nerf... we dont see same game. Vryu used a lot of random gameplay: dash, ex not safe. That its why he lost. He didnt play right de matchup.

    • @YoraiDragon
      @YoraiDragon Před 10 lety

      Sometimes when a character gets messed up, it changes the player's style a bit. It also gives the player less confidence in some ways. I dislike Makoto in USF4 (but dat new costume coming out makes me feel like playing her serious again). He switched up a bit, in the match which gained him the win, pretty good adjustments. In EVO when Haitani used Makoto, it seemed he did that to please the audience... Didn't turn out to well @_@;;
