You are using the Sony ZV 1 which I also looked at and was shocked that it didn't have a full f stop range. Maybe due to being a vlog camera. At the moment, I will be limited to my Hero 9 and the M3 for my (recreational) work. Many of us use the Go Pro for outdoors, camping, and drone flying. So, the question, how does this mike work with the Go Pro since you didn't mention it? I recently did a kayak trip and the Hero 9 was mounted about 3' in front of me aiming forward, and it picked up my voice, but not great, and picked up some sound but not intelligible from others with me. Should I consider this, or hold out for better? I might use it for myself on kayak trips, but probably not for others.
Love this microphone! Use it as my main mic for my tech videos. Definitely do need to do some configuring as my audio tends to have a lot of bass.

If you get the Media Mid or mic adapter, then this will get you good, clean audio
