They switched to online school and we lost connection fast. But at least a month we got back together in a discord call with another one of their friends. At this time I never realized how much I loved them, I didn’t realize I had a crush on them all these years. We were in the group call and the other friend (let’s call her snatcher) says she likes someone. We ask who and she says “hatkid”… The thing is that we’d assign ourselves characters from games we’d play and they were hatkid. I didn’t realize it then but now I regret never considering the feelings I had for them. Now they’re happy with their partner… I’m happy for them, but I still miss those days.

Many people manipulate us and for some reason we feel we..deserve it. It’s like everyone is told your lover don’t gonna be perfect but when they treat you so shitty you seem to just tell yourself your being overdramatic, when you aren’t.
I feel like this song can be both platonic and romantically inclined, as toxic relationships are as well. Personally I see this as a unhealthy relationship. The speaker is so excited to finally have someone they love, despite not understanding why. They make love and share dances, intimate moments that people take for granted. The person in this relationship took it for their own personal gain, and never gived the speaker the love they wanted. It’s really sad when you think about it
