      It is a dangerous job, the amount of water that gets released. Stay safe out there. Appreciate your videos. Do they ever trap and relocate the beavers in your area? Have you ever encountered their homes? ♥️👍

    Damn… I remember building ‘dams’ in the ditch in front of my yard growing up (grew up in the border area of the rural and suburban areas). I could spend hours building dams and then watching them fail and what would happen to the water flow. You’re living my dream, good sir. Can’t look away. Please keep doing what you’re doing - it’s fantastic!

  • @BB--13118
    @BB--13118 Před měsícem +21

    Definitely the most water you've released! That was a very smart move putting those sticks behind you. They not only would help.if you happened to step back a little but they also marked what you know to be the deepest area behind you. Job well done!

    The collapses are really best on the shorter, deeper dams. It's okay to have some variety in your technique to suit the situation! This was a long, hard removal... Might have been easier for you if you use the current to help you remove the dam? We dont need a collapse every time - the removal itself is interesting 😊
    Also thanks for the area tour, those are also interesting! I believe you that there is no flash flood, but its amazing to see how little water actually makes it down, and your local ecosystems.

    I like that you went back to clear it out more. It has to be hard to go deeper the first day because of the flow but I think it helps to let some channels get as low as possible to dry the fields. Maybe they don't all need it but it's important when they do. So nice that the local government recognizes and appreciates your efforts. Well done.
    Oh, and putting the time passed is a good idea when you're not showing the whole process uncut. Helps us get a sense of how the job goes.

    This dam really messed with my sense of perspective! It looked kind of small until you got into the middle to dig it out, then I could see how big it was in comparison to you and it was easy to see why it was scarier then other dams! But the different camera angles also skewed my sense of size, it was really only the shots where you were digging directly into the side of the dam before it collapsed that helped me and whenever you left the shot or changed the view from that I struggled to keep the size perspective which was fascinating!
    This was a great collapse, one of my favourites, really fun to watch, thank you!
