By' and 'with' as prepositions are used to show how something is done. Both to and for are prepositions, one of the eight parts of speech, and both are used quite a lot. The difference between to and for lies in their meanings and the words they’re typically used with. of, ” “at, ” and “for” can be used in contexts other than time or space; they can also connect nouns with their objects.
