Love Prestwick airport. Small, quiet and always quick security and boarding process. Never had a delay compared to the usual departures from Glasgow int.
I remember having the same thoughts when we were in Majorca last year. Getting off the plane and had no idea where to go.

That airport looks huge compared to Newquay airport and I’m sure Newquay has more flights per day.

Always had a soft spot for prestwick,I’m 5 mins down the road in Irvine and I’m at an age where I can remember prestwick being a really busy airport,My old granny flew to New York and Australia back in the day from there👍🤔

Went from Prestwick a few weeks ago to Alicante. Although there's only a few flights each day there was 2 flights departing at exactly the same time,ours and I think Palma?? £6 for a bottle of beer but still a great wee airport, especially when arriving back very quick getting through security and baggage reclaim.
Prestwick Airport is great, we prefer to fly from there now. We always flew from Glasgow or Edinburgh previously but had to get a Prestwick flight a couple of years ago at Christmas, and haven't used either since.
It's easy to get to, it takes about 15mins more for us by car than GLA/EDI but parking is closer to terminal, cheaper,and because there's only a few flights per day its never that busy, no queues at check-in or security, you can breeze through both in 15mins, and always plenty of seats in lounge and bar etc. Plus you don't have to walk far from lounge to board plane, unlike some airports.
The price of food & drink in lounge is just as dear as GLA/EDI though :(

could u have chosen public transport ?
as apposed 2 driving or walking so that it would have shown the bus stops on route .
