It was already a dream come true to see a TAS of my mappack Gravitas, but to see it at AGDQ... I'm still over the moon 💙 Noahkiq and Masterjun did an EXCELLENT job on the runs, and I can't wait to see more Mari0 TASes!

Finally! I've been dying to see this video since i missed it live.
12:14 I don't think they "launched fish through a portal", in SMB1 when fish jump at you they match your horizontal speed and I think it's the same here

Bowser is the victim in this case. He is on the bridge, when suddenly a super-sonic silver blur passes by his vision barely and then the next thing he knows he is falling into lava.

You don't increase terminal velocity, you reach it. Terminal velocity is the maximum falling speed where gravitational pull and wind resistance equalize and you won't accelerate any more.
Increase to, not just increase.

It seems like it's inevitable that any game with large enough of a ROM hacking community will eventually have a Portal hack. We should make that a law of the internet; G0dwin's Law, maybe? Eh, that sounded funnier in my head. I also see that they faitfully reproduced the buggy portal collision, so that's cool.
This isn't a ROM hack, even widescreen is impossible, let alone portal guns due to how tiles work

Didn't make it super clear during the first custom map pack that you CAN jump, but only where the Easter Island statues (seen at the end of Zelda 2 dungeons) are in the background (and single width versions of them). This is why the jumping is so awkward when it gets near the pipe at the end of each level.
Curtains count too. Basically anything that's the level's "opposite/secondary" color in the background.

Well, you can put it in a VM if you want, or you can run it on a separate system, launch SteamOS and set up Steam Link, and show the desktop. Yep.
