To be fair The Final Chapter in a way makes sense because it's Jason's first permanent death before he returns as a full zombie in Part VI, and the Final Friday succeeded in sending him into Hell. Then chronologically speaking, Freddy VS Jason happens, before Jason X, which kinda breaks the fact that it's the tenth one in the series but I suppose crossovers don't count anyway.

Friday the 13th is OK until they leave Paramount and can't use the title anymore. Nightmare on Elm Street is pretty straightforward too; now Hellraiser - there's some shit you could get lost in if you aren't careful.
I think Kirby gets away with being one of the more confusing series on account that you can pick up any Kirby game and have a good time. So, it's not a matter of "Which one" as much as just putting your hand in the Kirby bucket and rolling with what you pull out.

Did you know that tomb raider the angel of darkness, legend, and anniversary, all technically have Lara Croft in front of the titles (at least in their logos) because the Angelina Jolie movies have Lara Croft in front. So they technically should be called Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: Legend, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Nobody calls them that because it’s super stupid and confusing, but that’s what the logos say.

It's because it's a direct prequel to Redemptions storyline. Revolver is in no way connected to the story of Redemption.
Kawaii Stefan We all already know that, it doesn't make any more sense to do it that way though. If anything, they said Redemption 2 because the common market doesn't even know nor care that Revolver ever existed. Metal Gear Solid did the same thing and it only got away with it because usually only fans of MGS or newcomers were playing Snake Eater, but no one knew it was a prequel for sure until later in the game despite all the hints it dropped (at least from my experience through years of friends asking me very confused questions about it after I played it). We all know Redemption 2 is a prequel, but the theme of their naming was so far off that back when everyone was asking for another installment into the Red Dead franchise, I found that people who didn't even know about Revolver were asking it to have a different R title like Resurrection of Revolution. Maybe this is all nuance, but that was why the announcement of The Redemptioning was so jarring me and many others of my friends. Not that its the only belief, but it seems I'm not alone in that.
TL;DR
There is nothing wrong with calling it 2, it's just weird compared to the rest of the series.

Does anyone else think woolie really doesn't like pat? On top of the difference between the flow of conversations (woolie doesn't mind being interrupted by Matt, clearly hates being interrupted by pat), his body language kinda screams it. Far less eye contact, head almost always angled towards Matt. It's how you act when you're trying to freeze someone out of a conversation without overt aggression.
