This is our version of 12 beautiful melodies composed by the great Greek composer Manos Hadjidakis (1925-1994). The arrangement for each and every song was carefully and meticulously prepared so that it reflects the enormous respect we feel towards the work of Manos Hadjidakis.
As we wandered through the beauty of Hadjidakis’ melodies, we kept wondering how one can touch such beauty without the risk of (unintetionally) blurring the melodic intensity, harmonic clarity and profound lyricism of these little gems, while at the same time seeking to project the richness of timbre that the classical guitar has to offer.
An approach of doric simplicity was deemed necessary, therefore, in order to respond to these challenges.

When I was a university student in Italy I had a lot of friend coming from Greece. We spent a lot of time in the evening playing this music, and Savopulos too, singing all toghether. So I often come back in Greece for holidays, and every time I found a piece of my life when I was young. Una faccia una razza.

Good Greek Music does not need the imported damn Boozookie from Anatolia..
And yet, some of Mr. Hadjidakis's best music was written for the bouzouki (including the Oscar winning theme for "Never on Sunday"). The guy was a certified genius, composing orchestral masterpieces as well as some memorable folk songs (such as "Eimai Aitos").
Which guitar are you using classical or acoustic
Nice music should be write in the scores too!!!!!! Like Tasos Karakatsanis did with other Mano's music ( played by Costas Grogoreas )
