Hi Andrew, I just wanted to say hello again. I love "the views" and your introspection. I wanted to share a recent epiphany I had about my hikes. Walking on trails with rocks, roots, and inclines creates a subliminal "puzzle" for me. I'm constantly thinking about my next step, the angle of my foot placement, and the steps that follow. It's a continuous "thinking" process, intertwined with memories of my wife, family, and friends, and thoughts about what's next-a thinking game, so to speak. Last week, I had a funny phrase running through my head that made me laugh out loud several times. It was like candy for my brain. I just wanted to share this with you-the "puzzle" comment. No twisted ankles the ultimate goal. Thank you so much for your shares. Happy Summer!
Some of the hikers I watched say the southern part of the AT has better views then the north .I disagree, you got some great views in the last couple of videos.
Wow. I've watched countless thru-hikers and have never heard anyone say that. Maybe they started when the leaves were off the trees. I like southern AT trail better than the northern sections, but the views up north are really good. Then you go hike out west and realize what views really are. I still like the AT the best, though.
Thanks for this on a couple of levels. You made me think that maybe I didn't appreciate those miles going into Monson because Monson is such a milestone. AND, you made me remember the saying (I don't think I came up with it): The trail is a trial.
Incredible video of your climb today! Your home state is beautiful! Keep going- you’ve got this and this old gal in Ohio is cheering you on everyday!
Most beautiful hike so far and your joyful smile and outward happiness added to the video thanks.
This might be the best video you have put out, the views are outstanding - what a gorgeous, gorgeous day!

Seems like people are cool, to me
Maine sure is beautiful.
