@Dean It’s worse than that. Trey Lance has more flags than the United Nations building. He went the FCS level, and not the FBS level. That in of itself means he lacks the single most important ingredient of character one needs to be a great leader - PATIENCE. He’s gonna be an asterisk in the NFL.

Having played high school ball, you definitely know when one of your teammates has the "it" factor and then seeing them in the NFL is surreal. Although I didn't play with Trey, hearing his loved ones speak about how he was on the football field made me think of my past. Happy for Trey!

He got that nonchalant/ cool look about him that he will be a great QB like many Great QBs do.Not stressed about it.He seems to really believe when saying he is great and not just say it to say.Mahomes was the same way.He was very cool and nonchalant.Rodgers too.Not even the slighest sign of insecurity.That is a sign the QB fully believes in his ability to be great.I think Lance becomes the best of this class

Not an Falcons fan but it just makes too much sense for him situationally; learn the NFL speed and schemes behind Ryan for a year or two and be ready to go for the Falcons with their talented WRs, assuming Julio has prime left

Matt Ryan said he can play until he is 40. With a guy who only miss three career games I think falcons can wait to draft a Qb. They should trade down 1st, or take Kyle pitts second.
doesn’t make sense with the way Matt’s contract was restructured. Smith likes running 2 tight ends so Pitts and Hurst could be lethal.
@Soldier I agree with drafting for the future and This season will truly tell if Matt Ryan can play at a high level which I think he still can. And I don’t think this team in rebuilding mode, with the off-season signing The falcons been making, they are still trying to compete. Take Kyle pitts and draft defense the rest of the draft and I’m telling you this team will be in the playoffs.

He has the chance to learn at a relaxed pace behind Jimmy G. Not sure if he will be the gem of the draft but he went to the best jeweler. San Fran was a dream come true for whoever lucked out and ended up there.
I doubt this will happen but he dropped to the 3rd round in my madden career mode. I picked him up with Devonta Smith in the first round and Terrace Marshall in the second round with Detroit. He's a dope player, think a variation of Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson but definitely not as good yet, he has those intangibles and decent size. he feels like that level of player, he can move for his size and his medium/short accuracy is above average, deep ball is average. dude can be a star if the right team gets in the draft, I hope he doesnt drop and lose out on money. @@danieln.9135 Atlanta isn’t taking Lance. Ryan is still owed 20 - 30 million per year until 2023. Makes more sense to draft a weapon like Pitts and immediately have a positive impact on the team. Lance can’t just sit behind Ryan until 2024 that would be a waste of talent on both sides of the ball.Taking Lance is not a smart move. Y’all need talent. Falcons should take pitts or trade back to maybe like 9 and take Surtain before to cowboys can.
