I think the reason why lyrics of Iranian songs are meaningful and poetic (more in case of older songs or those that come directly out of Iran than those from the younger Iranian diasporah, which are more often about being catchy than meaningful) is because of the deep-rooted tradition of poetry in Iran. Most Iranian traditional/classic music and songs are simply (old) poems read out loud as songs (see performances by the likes of Homayoun Shajarian, such as czcams.com/video/NQQIEUDe6Qo/video.html). In fact, the verb to read and the verb to sing are the same verb in the Persian language.

The woman also comes out of the grief of loneliness and the loss of the man and dies after a accident, just like the man did. At the end you see their ghosts facing each other.

Yes this is my favorite one from Farzad. The reason? The story was simple yet challenging to understand like you find yourself confused from the first minute, putting the pieces of this puzzle in the right place. And the other reason like this music video actually is made really good in terms of cinematography. It's well edited and of course the actors were good.

I myself never watch the clips and only listen to the music. Persian poems and music usually speak about virtual and nonphisical feelings and moments which is always difficul to show through videos. Except by showing some symbols that are difficult to choose the proper ones and make the others understand what message you're going to transfer.
