Hey Singh, this is Dennis, we met at Julia’s River Camp. It is nice to know you are the same in person as you are in your videos. Enjoyed seeing your vlog about your experiences, especially seeing the wildebeest crossing. I’m ashamed to admit I told the same bad joke, “Why did the wildebeest cross the River?” I got about the same reaction. I enjoy all your adventures! Safari njema!

Great video! Thank you! We just got home from Kenya and Tanzania. The last park we visited was the Maasai Mara. We had similar experiences except for the "budget" part. We were fortunate to stay in nice lodges at the first four parks and the last three nights we were dpibg some serious "gllamping" directly on the Talek River. We did have a plug in our tent. And wood floors. And marble and tile bathrooms. And evening turndown service with hot water bottles placed in the bed. Ahhhhh! Not exactly roughing it lol. If I were to return to east africa, I think would head straight to the Mara as it was definitely the most exciting park. I liked that the savannah is healthy enough that the drivers were allowed to leave the roads and head for the best spots to see the animals. So many big cats! Our 12 day safari included Amboseli, Lake Manyara, Ngorogoro, Serengeti and lastly Maasai Mara. We made a number of other stops as well. We also did that balloon ride in the Mara! It was spectacular floating only a few feet above the savannah when the game was along our trajectory. We arrived at the Mara via Cessna Caravan landing on that airstrip you see in this video (I flew in co-pilot's seat which was particularly enjoyable as I am a private pilot). That airstrip is owned by the camp we stayed in - "Mara Intrepids"- and is only 5 minutes from the airstrip. We watched a leopard cross the same runway a couple of hours later. A different world for sure... Ot is fantastic that one can see Maasai Mara on a small budget and I know now I could have done it years ago because of that but this was a splurgy bicket list thing for us so we went all out. I can highly recommend Abercrombie & Kent if you are prepared for such a trip. F4om beginning to end the trip was a flawlessly managed fornus so we had nontravel stress. We aren't usually in to organized tours but in this instance it was a good thing. There were only 7 people in our group and they splits us into 2 jeeps. Two friends were in the tour group and the 4 of us had a jeep to ourselves so it felt more like a private tour. Well... as you can see I am still pschyed. And still jetlagged and the bed is callng me for a nap.

Two things: 1. the baby lion reminding me of simba made me want to cry and 2. seeing the wildebeest crossing reminded me of mufasa being trampled underfoot and made me want to cry. This video... made me want to cry. LOL I love the Lion King. Thank you for giving me the feels.
