And that pay is honestly better than what most low rate models get for small runways and shoots. Plus, this is so busy, and it seems that she works every day in the store (or every work day, idk) and usually the store has one, or maximum 3 models... thus it is also more secure than the other types of low rate modeling where you can easily be replaced. She 's not forced into this job. She earns four or fives times more than most people in China. She made this choice for money, so I don't understand why do people feel sorry for her, it's like feeling sorry for a lawyer who earns $1000 a day because she is a workaholic. The currency exchange rate means that she actually gets a good deal.

I remember working as a hostess from 11:00 am to 8:30 pm with only a 30 minute break on the weekends because no one wants to do them and it was so hard walking back and fourth and dealing with people I hate. It made me had depression. I had school and I was only 15 dealing with pedophiles. What’s worst was it wasn’t the customers... it was my co workers. I had depression and was walking towards the road of suicide.

      Thicc Wing I didn't meant the payment , for what you get in this kind of job . I just meant , how repitive , and monotonous this job gets , and how its attacking your physical and mentally , during and at the end of your job .You barely have any conversations with others , you are just representing yourself , by having buyable and wearable products on your body.

    • @resinds.p4898
      @resinds.p4898 Před 6 lety +6

      Indeed all jobs are repitive etc. , but this one right at the start , at most jobs , there is sometimes , something to say on what happend on your job , as an example , you met different kind of peoples , with crazy personalities and acting , i cant really say what i mean with that , because english is not my first language .
      Btw : I dont wanna start/end this with a confrontation , but i stay with that point that it is bad job , not the worst , but i add it to that category.

      Thicc Wing I have waited tables ten hours a say, scrubbed public toilets, moved house by myself and I can assure you I would still NOT take her job. Imagine having to stand in the same spot for hours and changing clothes in seconds in cold weather while also brainstorming quick style ideas AND listening to those noisy vultures' demands. Chineses are culturally rude to service workers also. Not to mention maintaining a good appearance. Her job sounds like hell to me.

    You telling me she wears clothes other people want to buy, so they can see if it looks good and they want to buy them? That's the dumbest thing I ever heard! Different body type, different skin complexion, different everything! So even if she wore an outfit you wanted, it would look completely different if you tried it on. She looks so tired too, I hope she's ok and she gets a better, less tiring job.

      A human is not a mannequin. Manequinns only show some of the outfits in the shop, not putting on outfit after outfit because a customer requested it. Plus, Wu Anning sounds absolutely tired and older than she is. She said it her self that she puts on more than 500 outfits, her feet get hurt from standing all day, and she can't even put on her own clothes when it gets cold because she's stuck being a human mannequin, which I'm sure causes stress too.

Most kids outside of the West don’t grow up with a garden and a house. If you can find a job that pays good, you keep it until you have the money to move on to the next.
    I spent most of my childhood selling trinkets on the sidewalk. That was fine. I was fine. I’m not horribly poor and living on the street. My parents aren’t abusive. It was just a way to make money.

    One thing I started to notice in asian model pictures from many asian clothing brands, is the model's feet. They often look red with veins protruding like they're about to pop and explode. It stunned me at first, because the rest of the picture is spotless to alien-like perfection. The feet are the only part of their body that was not only not heavily photoshopped, but not touched at all. Like an eerie cry for help. The evidence they forgot to cover up.
    I'm most likely waay over dramatizing this, since feet are definitely the most neglected parts of the human body, but what I'm most concerned about is how the model was treated and it doesn't seem like they're cared for very well.
    This could also occur in other model pics, not just asian pics, it's just that I love kfashion and often end up looking at those images specifically.

      I don't mean to be heartless, but models are people like everyone else and they don't need to be 'cared for'. They are employees, plain and simple. If they are paid, the company is doing its job. The reason why they have sore feet is because they wear high heels a lot. That is something they choose to do for a living. Soreness is not a cry for help, it is just a normal bodily reaction.

    I don't mean disrespect to anyone, but to all the people feeling sorry for her and saying she needs to earn more:
    $5000/ month is a LOT of money in China. it's roughly equivalent to 20000 Yuan, which is what a lot of people in China earn a YEAR. So she's getting well compensated for this. The stress of the work is what also makes it lucrative. It's like surgeons earning $300000 in the US. Does anyone feel sorry for them and hope they can become "top surgeons" and earn even more money?
    Also, no one is forcing her to do this.
    There are a lot of very pretty models (being pretty is basically a requirement) and in the large scheme of things she is not especially more eye-catching. It would be disingeuous to suggest that all pretty models deserve to become top models. Again, no disrespect, but I don't see how anyone "deserves" anything like that, since it's very unlikely for anyone to become a top model without nepotism involved.
