I'm only 21, someone is not in favor of me to be a hospice volunteer because they say that the role is only for retired people. I want to be a social worker soon like the people in the video.

Go for it! It's all about the act of caring for another human life and helping them during such a difficult time, qualities that age does not restrict. So if you have that passion you should definitely pursue it!

Sherylene Siwa I’m marcell, I just wanted to know how can I get involved in going to the hospital or in hospice? Any information would be helpful. I also want to pray for them if they allow it. Do you have any information how I can get into this kind of service?

I was a Volunteer Fireman and EMT age 16-20. I did the junior cadet program and jumped straight into healthcare as an emerging adult. Do not let your age interfere with your ability to serve. If that location will not accept you, go to the next one. There are many facilities who would love for volunteers.
Currently, I'm a Health Insurance adviser for the retired. (ages 65+) You're "supposed" to be older for my position, but if you have the skills and compassion, you can easily overcome the stigma that "only those in the same age group can relate" .

this is not true, you can be a volunteer after if you are older 14. I am a Volunteer Coordinator for hospice, I know it for sure.
