    I'm from Spain and I was in the Real Madrid zone, although we were able to enter well, the French organization was a failure, I don't blame the English fans because they got the worst of it, but the organization should have done better, to me My friend, some French people tried to steal her ticket, in fact they did, but thanks to other fans we were able to get it back. Many people suffered robberies by the French, and the police did nothing. France was not prepared for this final.

    As a french person and huge football fan i am actually disgusted by how the Liverpool fans were treated. The fact that the french interior minister also relays fake news and numbers as well as blaming the english fans is a disgrace. There were actually some huge fan problems during the whole season so that's a problem that the french league must solve really fast if we want to host events like this again. I am really sorry for all the fans that were treated that badly in France.

      @Nikodem Lucka the real problem is the lack of controls and sanctions for all of the fans that come to the stadiums to throw water bottles at the players, to harass other fans that don't ask for anything other than watch their favorite team play. We definetly need more sanctions just like there are in England and maybe it might change. But everything was so badly prepared and it ended in huge disappointment for a lot of people and that's not normal.

    • @me5969
      @me5969 Před 2 lety +3

      Year has is not normal, apart from by police forces that have poor crowd control experience. I seen a video of Liverpool fans just singing outside the pub and the police all just turn up in riot gear. To the untrained eye this may seem reasonable but the British police, after dealing with over 20 years of probably the worst football hooliganism, learned not to act like hooligans themselves. Granted there's a few CR1s I believe the category is. That is to say it's when they do get the riot gear out but by and large most police forces are competent enough to not need to tear gas kids. Besides there's videos of them just randomly walking up to people and pepper spraying them. That's not crowd control.
      Granted they were clearly caught off guard by the locals and I'd be incredibly surprised to discover a fan base consisting largely of scousers and Irish didn't retaliate after watching their kids get battered but it's still poor policing to be in that situation at all. It's small wonder that they're now trying to blame Klopp for it. You don't do that if you have a valid reason to launch tear has at families

    Thanks Thogdan for this. It is really depressing to see so many people letting club colours blind them to this. Fact is this could have been anyone (there were issues in the Real Madrid end as well) - especially English clubs whose reputation as English fans precedes them. Awful event.
    I would just like to put a word out as well - I was one of the 50,000 fans watching the match in the fanpark 10 miles from the stadium (which is where most of us ticketless fans gathered) - and even that was badly organised with 50,000 people entering through just two narrow bottlenecks (only 1 could enter at a time), with absolutely no attempt as a stewarding or queuing system outside. I would just like to say, as backed up by the Deputy Mayor of the 12th arrondissment where the fanpark was situated who wrote a letter praising Liverpool fans that day, that if it wasn´t for people being so patient and good natured outside of that mess trying to get in it could have gone badly wrong as well. As with the stadium, the good behaviour of the vast vast majority of fans potentially prevented deaths and serious injury that day, due to terrible organisation. To then be victim blamed, and for people to jump on that victim blaming due to football rivalry, is beyond belief and has quite frankly left me furious.

    When the River-Boca game had to be suspended in Argentina, the City of Madrid offered itself to hosting the game, and it was a huge success, no issues.

    What needs to change is the subtitles where you wrote there instead of their at least 3 times. Good vid though!

    If the stadium is in a high area of crime, surely close off surrounding areas, even a child would know that makes sense

    The way it was settled was horrible this reminds me of 1989 Hillsborough in the FA Cup semi Final where fans were killed by getting crushed

    Me and my mum went and had to turn around as the crowd was too busy and everyone was pushing up, which reminded my mum of hillsborough which she was at, awful policing all day with Awful planning…

    Actions like this from Uefa clearly lying will help support the idea of Perez’s Super League if they don’t get a grip of it. Absolute shambles. For me Uefa are trying to do it on the cheap, not wanting to take responsibility & also probably not helping foot the costs of security at the stadium. Same with euros
