If they want to sell in 2024 anti-drone systems would be a wise edition in this era of airborne RPG rounds.
Well done Zuid Afrika.
Excellent vehicle
São carros bons pra ajudar na guerra
Apparantly it was so incredibly well designed that the united states based the Buffalo off of it. This thing is effectively a monster truck :D
Hope ZA charged the US royalty to copy with their Buffalo.
The original Buffalo was designed and built in South Africa. The information on the web that stated this mysteriously disappeared some time ago.
great company
Eu gostei muito
Father of all mrap
Long live mechem😄✌️☮️
Please clear me to adjust valve clearance on running vehicle with out remove engine
Still the best.
soon as possible
7.62x39 and 7.62x54 are Russian rounds, not NATO.
Soviet rounds, Russia inherited it just like Kyrgyzstan did.
Together with Buffel and Rhodesian various MRAPs that beast is predesessor of all modern armored cars. All others are suck
Please do review about UNIBUFFEL made in Sri Lanka
Buffel... IE South African 🤣🤣🤣
Indian Army has the same Armoured personnel carrier in that design called OFB MPV produced locally but i highly doubt the reliability and effectiveness of those produced here in India 😂
...so...
CASSPIR vs rpg ?
Drive fast and be aggressive , was the best tactic. Funny story, (don't know if really the truth) we felt safer in the Casspir than a Ratel against a rpg hit. The story was that because it was open at the top the blast had a place to escape, hence safer for the crew.
An RPG7 can destroy a Cassper.
im just looking at all that exposed suspension components
They are deliberately sacrificial on every vehicle of this style. They'd get damaged either way, but suspension can be cut off with a torch and replaced. The crew, not so much!
Love it or hate it Casspir remain the best fighting vehicle for sometime to come.
why are they telling you what kind of projectiles it protects against?! then the enemy knows to have a stronger weapon to break through the armor.
The enemy will find that out anyway, but customers need to match capabilities against threats. It's not as if jungle bunnies will have Spike or Javelin in quantity.
The original MRAP so poorly marketed.
llewellleo How many Coalition lives would have been saved if American Congress and Govt. got over their South African phobia and either bought these early in Afghanistan / Iraq wars, or even entered a license build in US. Instead, wasted so much lives, and spending all of that money setting up multiple types of MRAP manufacturers in US, that basically copied Caspir concept anyway. R.I.P all coalition soldiers dead and injured from US govt stupidity.
+wonniewarrior You are talking like if all coalition soldiers were American soldiers.. EX: The Canadians bought South African vehicles, RG31. And hey.. Canadians soldiers are part of the coalition.
Yes you are correct, I used Coalition, instead I should have used US soldiers as part of a Coalition.
useful for bush wars only
Erm not actually true very short turning circle means its perfect for the city and roads. Security companies have a version used to carry cash in transit.
looks like a australian bushmaster ripoff :/
bushmaster is the caspir ripoff
longie1201 Dumbass... South African and Ex-Rhodesian Engineers invented the V-hull and the MRAP
longie1201
Have you not been paying attention, this thing's design goes back to the 60's,and this could drive over anti tank landmines all day long. The Bushmaster would be destroyed by a single anti tank landmine.
It will look like that... but who ripped who off... you should not assume just because you feel patriotic.. but no worries we all make mistakes like that... and anyhow patriotism is a good quality.. it just can be abused by authority. ;-) been there done that! ;-)
@@hendrikroux4596 Yeah longie1201 shouldn't feel too bad, many of our excellent engineers are over in Ozzieland now, building stuff for them. Wonder who was behind the design of the Bushmaster?
