Incredible! I just started training as a singer nine months ago. With every one of your videos, I watch and practice, not only does my singing voice change, but my speaking voice gets better too. It was a great feeling the other day. A friend told me my voice had changed; it sounded better. Often when I'm practicing along with you, I hear my voice do something it's never done before. Thank you for making these videos. Your talent and passion for the art/skill really come through. You are brilliant!

Your videos are honestly a treasure. It's been so confusing finding the right video lessons on singing, because either the advice is too technical or too vague, or I'm hit with a wave of different exercises without knowing what they're all for or if they're all even necessary in the first place. I like how you break down the different components of singing and bring them all together, and have videos on the proper things to start off with for a beginner. You make it simple without dumbing it down; a rare quality in any teacher.

It took me almost 2 years to get ping right. Now I got vibrato down pretty well and I can do it on every word I sing but it still takes effort. It's probably always going to take effort but you just get more and more coordinated as time goes on. For me it was in that yawning space. My coach told me when I found it. You have to be relaxed because the voice will oculate up and down in a yawn. It's in that space!

Something I've been noticing tho is that after praticing ring/singing a bit with ring I'm actually left with a warm/itchy sensation right inside my nose where I'm feeling the vibrations. I guess it's normal but like do people just get used to it or like with time the body does? Am I missing something here?

5 months ago I tried doing this but I didn't understand it and eventually stopped. All of a sudden, I read something about building chest voice with humming an M sound and I tried it. Nothing special so far, then I realised I could apply ring a lot easier while humming, kind of like when you tune the string of an instrument, turning the pegs. That's when it clicked and I came back to this and now I finally understand exercise 2 and 3 better.

    • @Victoria-Victorious

    • @Victoria-Victorious

Thank you! So to apply to your singing, do the exercises in the video (or choose which one works better for you - NG or NYAH)and go from AH to each of the vowels. That will train you to sing with ring. Then add consonants while continuing the ring through the vowels. Then apply to your song, making it into an exercise. Try your song on a vowel or vowels first.

Hi Mrs Victoria… I follow you and I feel like I’m learning a lot. I have a question I’m sure you can help with that I’m having trouble finding any good videos on. I will use Whitney Houston as my example because her song is the one I’m trying to master in my own sound. Her song is called “I Have Nothing” and at the end when she sings the last hook she has some pauses and she goes “don’t make me CLOOOSE ONE MORE DOOR….” she’s in a higher pitch, how do we transition like that from low to high and change the key or pitch without sounding like we are losing air?
