This is actually super interesting. Generally these companies are able to skirt the legality based on the premise of "COULD". But in this instance, you physically can't due to the restraints of the packaging. This could actually be a class action lawsuit and I would love to see it

Do the packages have any sort of language along the lines of "you are not guaranteed any of the pictured cards?" If so, that might be their way out of litigation.

What's crazy is that the box art shows a completely different grading company then what actually comes inside the box.
Thats actually one reason a class action law suit may be filled if those psa cards dont fit and they show it on the box thats false. But it only said graded card not from psa or any good name.

That was brutal. MJ Holding's reputation has been on a STEEP downhill slide since the card boom of 2020. Their greed is getting the best of them, and it knows no bounds.

Yeah, they used to be better but it plunged, especially during the hype in 2020-2021. The worst product was the 15 cards+1 foil. Its packaging with the copyright of 2012 and you would think it would have BW or HGSS cards but no it has modern crap. It fooled people who were reselling them on eBay for $20. Either MJH were reusing old packages or made it up, which i would think would be a crime by falsifying a copyright date. Bottom line...BAD.
@@djk6297 For sure. Those repacks you mentioned were THE WORST!!! The cubes were a very close second, tho. They actually made good stuff back in the day. I saw... I think it was Dark Ghoul open up these figure cubes that had solid stuff in em.
Only time will tell how far they plan on dragging their own brand through the mud.

These companies get away with many things, but I’m glad you can show this in order to stop people from buying and getting scammed.
It amazes me how MJ Holdings have been doing this for years and they are somehow still in business with such shady products.
They stock like everything at Walmart and Meijer around me, knowing them they could be doing something to the packs too
I actually found out that mjholdings, will not be packing out cards any longer . Now it’s a company called premiere whom of which I noticed had numerous boxes of open packs and cards I saw earlier I was so confused .
Not only in business, they are the biggest distributor of trading cards in North America, disgraceful.

so I emailed MJ holdings customer service a week ago. They said they received a number of complaints on these items, and they admitted that they will be fixing this product so PSA and BGS slabs will fit in the packaging in the future lol. They offered to send me a replacement of a different hanger item, though I bought like 20 of these they would need to send me like 20 replacement items.
So they are just going to make the box bigger.
From what I've known over the years, BCCG is actually a department of BGS designed for people or companies, like this MJ Holdings, who need thousands of cards graded en masse pretty quickly and for super cheap and don't necessarily care about the grading being very strict. I don't know very many that have used it.
yes its their cheap bulk grading department meant for retailers send in bulk to get graded with less cost/time

I work at Walmart and have bought from my own store I work at. Pulls have been so bad lately I’m starting not to trust what we’re getting in anymore. Bought from Target a while back and had extremely good luck out of six packs. Yeah Walmart is 20/50..
I don't ever trust any resealed product. It's all about profit for them. The marketing in this day and age has been ran to the ground after annually cutting costs for continual growth in their business model, and this is where we are. It's not about the consumer at all anymore.

So I work at Walmart as a cashier and we keep our cards up front. One night I decided I wanted to open the packs and see if the lies were true. Every single pack out of the entire shipment had the exact same card with the exact same grade from the exact same company. It was so bad. Long story short I took them to claims and threw them out.

@@mattkiss3 Claims doesn't get money back. Claims is basically just telling keeping note for the company of what you had to throw out. Claims doesn't get money back from anybody for anything. Most claims are broken/stolen/unsaleable. If Walmart found out he did that he would 100% get fired.

I've always found it weird that BGS keeps BCCG going.
It was started back in the day as a cheap service to mass grade cards to later sell on QVC or the Home Shopping Network.
I guess most people just don't know what it is, or you would think it would tarnish BGS's reputation.

I hear more horror stories about people getting scammed than I ever do about legit deals. This is why I'll always take my chances on my own booster boxes and packs.
Thank you for showing us that is apart of your community and for waking some of us up who may have bought and going to buy again to try to get those cards on the box or the ones who were wanting to purchase. Just can't believe company's would sell this product knowing this will eventually the word will get around.

BCCG is actually part of BGS. It was a lower tier grading service. It no longer exists now. BGS actually has another grading service called BVG. It’s for vintage sports cards prior to 1981. Easy solution to this is not to buy MJ Holding’s trash! Great video for people to see before they buy this crap!

Doing Gods work, our local drugstore is selling some “mystery packs” 2 boosters and a foil card for 12,99€?? Unless the foil is worth something i dont see why. I can hear it rattling really badly inside as well. Might pick one up tomorrow and give an update.

Thank you Rev! Yeah I bought two of these last week from Walmart and I got a indeedee V and a shiny eldegoss V promo from shining fates. I knew they probably would be bad.. and I would probably be wasting my money but I didn’t realize how bad at the time I purchased.
I can say with proof, that the Metazoo mystery packs at walmart do in fact have the extra first edition booster packs available. I have opened one that had 2 1st edition booster packs actually. I purchased 2 total and got 2 1st edition packs out of one. The other was a bust. Thats pretty fair?!? But i had a feeling these others were sketch.
BCCG is Beckett. It’s just a budget grading level for kids and low end cards. I have had BCCG cards actually come back PSA 10 and BGS 9.5

I bought one from Meijer that claimed to have 5 mystery packs and a mystery bonus itemized it and there were only 4 packs which were all darkness ablaze and the “mystery item” was 3 random common sun and moon cards.

I’ve stopped shopping for cards at my local Walmart because of MJ holdings. All the cards at my local Walmart are sold above MSRP. Packs are like $2 more and etbs or tins and such are like $5 more and above. They don’t put any pricing stickers on the shelves so you don’t find out until you check out. It’s horribly scummy.

In all seriousness I had a time where I got a repack product from MJ Holdings and a pack was resealed with cards from a complete different series! It was a shame. Luckily the company did send me some new stuff but they have been know to make garbage. They used to have some half decent stuff years ago.

Hey from past experience of watching you open these mystery boxes I would say you're right that you're not gonna be able to pull the cards on the boxes Any might get one really good graded create a card but I don't think anything that's gonna be worth more than 20 bucks Thanks for showing us

I would love to see a video of trying smaller grading companies. I live in Europe and I struggle with PSA/CGC/BGS pricing and times. There’s local alternatives, I’d love to know which ones are worth it!
MJ Holding Mystery Power Boxes have been really good though, I've gotten a base set heavy pack, Gym Heroes, Plasma Blast, Fire Red/Leaf Green packs out of them.

it's odd unless the states is different . Canadian Wal-Mart only sell Pokemon card products that are put in store by a licensed wholesaler

Modern mystery boxes are almost always disappointing, the older ones (reselling om ebay) are pretty cool as you’re guaranteed to get older sets, but they are way more expensive. I wouldn’t buy mystery boxes for myself but it’s fun seeing you open them.

Wtf, I've sold so many packs where people open them up at the counter. They continue to buy them until no nice cards are pulled.
We have this halloween box with I think it was 3 cards per pack, 40 packs in the box. So you can hand them out to trick-or-treaters. Sold all 100 in a day lol.
The box was cheaper than the booster packs per card, and apperently it was decent, keep getting more calls for them.
Well if I were to ever win a giveaway, this would be the one I'd win, with my luck. Lol

AGS? Do you mean AOG maybe ?
Recently common folks have started calling programs AIs for some reason. Machine learning is the process in which a program learns over time. An AI is a program that can keep learning indefinitely (something that most machine learning programs cannot do). Real AIs can probably be counted on one hand at this point. AGS is not using AI.

" you can return these" last time I tried to, walmart said there was a new policy and didn't allow returns on trading card games. I bought the random booster pack boxes but after opening one, the boosters look resealed and I got stuck with the others I bought since they didn't let me return them
What really sucks is that I would say pre 2019, Mj holdings mystery boxes were actually pretty awesome. If you were able to be the one to get them direct from store you could get / usually beat the given odds. And even on the ones you didn't you would be maybe minus 10$ on the packs inside. They have gotten super horrid since the covid polemon craze

You have a platform and should use it at every chance you get to expose this sort of thing. Not that I wanna see you lose money. You seem like a good guy and you had to be kinda pissed. Still I assume this must be a write off of some sort for you and considering how many packs you open you can prolly afford to expose them easier than many can afford to be burnt by them.
