Artist: Jeff Danna
Track: Theme From Kung Fu
Kung Fu: The Legend Continues is an American-Canadian action/crime drama series and sequel to the original 1972-1975 television series Kung Fu. While the original Kung Fu series was set in the American old west, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues was set in modern times. It starred David Carradine and Chris Potter as a father and son trained in kung fu - Carradine playing a Shaolin monk, Potter a police detective. The series aired in syndication for four seasons from January 27, 1993 to January 1, 1997, and was broadcast in over 70 countries. Filming took place in Toronto, Ontario.
Jeff Danna is an award-winning Canadian film composer. Born in Burlington, Ontario, to a musical family active in local theatre and church choir, Danna was a reluctant young piano student but found solace in an electric guitar left behind at his home by a friend. Unknowingly following in the path of three generations of Winnipeg mandolin players, progress came quickly. He began playing professionally at the age of 15 until a hand injury brought his performance career to a halt at 22. He has composed or co-composed scores for a wide range of films and television, including The Boondock Saints (1999), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), Silent Hill (2006), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), The Good Dinosaur (2015), Storks (2016), The Breadwinner (2017), The Addams Family (2019), Onward (2020), Guillermo Del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia (2020), Nora Twomey’s My Father’s Dragon (2022) and Julia (2022). His older brother, composer Mychael Danna, is a frequent collaborator, and the two have received Emmy nominations for their work on Camelot (2011), Tyrant (2014-2016), and Alias Grace (2017). Additionally, Danna has been nominated for six Annie Awards, won five BMI Film & TV Awards, a Gemini Award, a Genie award, two Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and 15 SOCAN Awards. - Hudba
I'm Caine, I Will Help You.....
In Memory Of
David Carradine as Kwai Chang Caine, Matthew Caine
(born: December 8, 1936 - died: June 3, 2009)
“I am Caine, I will help you” This brings back so many memories. This intro theme/melody always to me will be a classic and really captured the tone/drama of the show. I love the mostly pedal tone throughout, even though I remembered it (melody) being harmonized to the root progression as a kid, I think thats what helps keeps it propelling fwd but gives a solid foundation emotionally. Thanks for uploading the full, un edited mix.
Still remember seein this show back in 1995 i was 12 bullied at school and one year later Will begin my training at wushu Kung fu for many years and always remembering this show
I am Caine...I will help you. Will never forget those words
"Look, I'm not my father. I don't do kung fu, I'm a cop. That's why I am, that's why I do."
Loved this show as a kid growing up in the 90s
Kung Fu The Legend Continues is not only a good show, it teaches good moral values as well. David Carradine as Caine is not only a great character but a good role model as well.
The last series representing moral values I saw on TV.
I'm a big fan of his off screen activities
Smoke your cbd because you can
I agree with you
This program and the Original were great as well because it gave jobs to those of Asian and Oriental Descent Alot of whom had a hard time finding work in the TV and Movie industry
I have this CD! 😊 It's rare and out of print and is a treasured part of my CD collection. I watched this show when I was a kid in the 90s.
Me too! I tape recorded almost every episode so I could watch again and again until the next week 😮
Me too! I loved the theme so much, that I came here years after hunting for it!! 😉🙂
me too
This slaps so damn hard.
This was my mom's favourite series back in the days.Everytime now I hear this, my tears build up suddenly.I miss her very much.
This music is so badass, it does a great job saying 'old meets new, the legend continues' perfectly 🥰
WELL DONE!! THOSE WORDS ARE EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SUM UP THIS AMAZING MUSIC 👍👏👏
As a man who was raised in Burlington, Ontario. I thought knew that Kung Fu the Legend Continues was filmed in Toronto. I'm glad to see that I was right
This song rocks. Dudes rock.
Such a sad nostalgic music
RIP the legend David Carradine
This theme makes me think of playing Street Fighter games back in the 90s
I caught a Mortal Kombat reference in this show. Yes to the video game franchise.
Martial arts was popular in the 90s
I used to watch this show with my pops when I was a kid
"The Grandson of Kwai Chiang Caine walks out of the past!...:
U should definitely finish the rest of the intro speech....lol that would be so awesome
Young Peter: But I want to fight.
Caine: Yes. So did your great-grandfather when he was your age.
@@robertdubs9466 Narrator: He teaches his son wisdom at a Shaolin Temple, an evil force destroyed that temple, father and son each believe the other had perished 15 years later they were reunited, now Caine faced new challenges. And his son grew up.
Peter: Look I'm not my father....I don't do Kung Fu, I'm a cop, that's who I am, that's what I do.
This was one of my most favorite shows from my childhood, I still love it to this day. God bless David Carradine and Chris Potter.
P.S. In case you guys didn't know, Chris Potter also voiced Gambit in the 1990s X-Men cartoon.
No sabía que hacía la voz de Gambito. Acá vemos esas series animadas con doblaje.
Such a great pump up song. Work, the gym, groceries, The legend continues....
This song gets me sooo pumped
Happy 30th Anniversary Kung Fu: The Legend Continues!

True friends buy friends sandwiches
One of confucius' most powerful messages
Hey can you get me a mac book pro when you're at pizza hut?
True
Maybe something analogous....like a pastry 🥧
A wise man once said: “never leave the coffee bean without a sandwich in your hand for your plump friend who texted you earlier asking for one.”
Possibly one of the best TNT shows that aired at that time, theme is very memorable along with Babylon 5
I was born in 1979, wen this show came out in the mid 90s it blew me away, ive lived threw the early time of the first Nintendo, the first game boy, and Sega, etc this show is still awesome especially Time Trax
I'm old enough to remember both the original Kung Fu and The Legend Continues. The legend continues is my favorite. Partially because of the music.
Playing this song on replay while beating all the fightclubs with my friends in Sleeping Dogs. Best memories ever!
Btw I liked the show too! 😃
Thank you. Me and my dad watched this in the nineties this warms my heart. He passed las January. Subscribed
Such an awesome song. It's not just a theme song, but just an emotional piece that is like a calm energy, well done. So nice and timeless.
I was a 14-year-old in 1994, tuning in to UPN network Stateside. I can't really recall many episodes but the theme clicks each time. Thank you, Jeff, for leaving such a memorable impression.
Same age, same channel. I always remember this and the sound effect for every flashback.
I remember mickey Rooney was on an episode
I remember too
The theme song from Kung Fu the Legend continues brought back the childhood which i remembered watching reruns of Kung fu the Legend continues on TNT back in the day i love that show to this day

oohhhhh my childhood!
I love Kung Fu: The Legend Continues! This TV show is awesome!
I remember I watched always this show. And also the 70s Kung Fu show. I was 15 only when Kung Fu The Legend Continues was new show.
Not many good TV shows back then, this was one of the good ones.
Kung Fu: TLC got me through high school in the 90s. The characters, the moral lessons, and the music! Mr. Danna you really captured an amazing sound / feeling with these songs. Thank you for writing them with such mastery and thank you for uploading them here for us to enjoy again! 🙏😊 hearing them brings back so many wonderful memories.
Love to hear that . KF was the very beginning of my film music journey , I'm glad it's still resonating for people!
@@JeffDannaMusic this theme is actually the number one thing I remember about the show. Thanks for producing this!
@@JeffDannaMusicTHANK YOU JEFF DANNA FOR THE MEMORY OF A SONG THAT WILL NEVER DIE AND LIVES IN MY CHILDHOOD 😃😉👍👏👏👏
I just randomly remembered this. I'm pleasantly surprised to find this upload. Thanks Jeff.
I remember I use to do kungfu movements with my brothers in my childhood after watching the every Monday episode at 9pm...wow I still remember the day and time!!
In a telecom company, staff waiting room on 6th Avenue NY, this was the only TV serial I used to watch in 1992 during break time. Good old memories .. Never knew 27 years ago that I would hear the same theme music again on CZcams ..Life is amazing ..Cheers!!
I Love this them

"The Grandson of Kawi Chang Caine walks out of the past. He teaches his son the Shaolin way in a temple. An evil force destroyed that temple....." i loved, loved, loved this show as a kid!
Love this song
This goes hard.
I really loved that series growing up. I consider it an honour to write a comment on your page and the intro music was awesome.
I wouldn't mind this and the original Kung Fu series were on Netflix along with Cobra Kai/The Karate Kid series... Martial Arts action Nostalgia!
That would be awesome

Thank you very much for providing such a great soundtrack.I really admire that you can use Chinese traditional instruments so well.
Hell yeah dude
Amazing music.
Me llamo Caine... Quiero ayudarte...
Nic nie rozumiem, bo nie znam hiszpańskiego, ale... Znam treść z intro 😊
Saludos desde Polonia
This song reminds me of the theme music from Virtua Fighters 1&2!!!! Good stuff right here!
I am going to play this whenever I make stir fry.
I remember this show coming on at 6:00pm PST, my sister and I would practice our horrible Kung Fu moves during both the intro and ending.
What an amazing song
🔥🔥🔥🔥 miss this show
Thank you.
There was a lot of great music from the show that never made it to the official CD.
Wow what a lovely music ❤️❤️🌹🌹
Straight fire 🔥🔥🔥
Only 25K views? This isn't right.

Miss. David. Carradine. As. Cane. And. His. Son. As. Well. Deep. Love. And. Respect. For. Each. Other. Awesome. 1993. Show.
Best walk put song ever
Okay I thought I recognized this song couldn’t remember the whole thing, but there’s a game called The Ninja Saviours and one of the bosses pretty much ripped this music off. The guy with white hair and green tiger tattoos fights you to a song that’s aaaaaaa lot like this one.
The last series representing moral values I saw on TV.
Been listening this for years.... Huge Thanks Jeff. What instruments are used in making this epic one?
Ah The 0.75 speed gave the everlasting feel.
The violin - sound is an erhu , a beautiful instrument unique to China. the flute is a Dizi ,and there is a Pipa and Sheng in there also. A wonderful musical culture .
Cherish
Meu nome é Eustacio, eu vim ajuda-lo a curtir esta maravilhosa trilha sonora de todos os tempos.
