Thanks for the explanation. I would be interested to see a comparison with RTMP and when to use each. I saw recently that CZcams had a beta SRT option for streaming but I am not certain - when I try to search I get results for subtitles since SRT is the file extension used for subtitles.
I was using SRT to stream to Castr, which would then distribute the stream to CZcams Facebook etc. But, I found out that Castr will not accept x265 (HEVC) as CZcams and other platforms do not support it. So I am currently using SRT x264 to send my stream to Castr, but I still get packet loss for some reason. It seems RTMP is more stable when streaming.
Your computer does not get an outside IP address, your router may have one. You can get an outside IP address from your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
