    Absolutely the best no BS one stick climbing video on CZcams. That was the most realistic timed climb without the noise and done safely ! Great job !!

    Great Realistic video!!!! No BS thats just how you do it and it shows. I know different setups you may be faster or slower so just say 15-22min from bottom of tree to hunting. Sure for some thats quite a bit of time but I look at it in the way that you know how much time you need to do it safely and quietly so you plan for that and its no big deal. Yes Im personally way faster with 4 sticks and I do repel out so take down is way faster that way Im about 5min up and 3min down. However thats cuz I have the system that works best for me down to a science. Now Im trying the one stick thing since I did buy the wingman as my first platform and now I dont use it so why not have another arrow in my quiver. I do LUV your ATC setup and have gone to it from a double bridge with a munter to the ATC. Tried 3-4 setups to use the 8mm rope correctly as madrock is out of spec for that and this is best idea Ive seen and it was your video that showed me that. Only difference is Ive learned to tie a JRB Saddle Hunter Hitch so I dont have to untie everything at base of tree and re-tie it once I repel out. I climb with it like you do with the quick link but once at height I tie it there. Again Great video!!!!

    Normally I use 4 sticks and stand when running and gunning. It takes me about 11 to 13 minutes to setup and about 9 to pack out. Your walk in and out maybe lighter but climbing looks like a lot more effort. Good info though.

      There are pros and cons to every setup for sure

      Clanking around 4 sticks and a bulky stand takes way longer for me then just one sticking up the tree. I'm faster, quieter, lighter, and can climb higher with one stick.

    I love this video, it's always good to see other peoples techniques. I like how you are taking your time like you would in a hunting scenario and not trying to post a good time. I think 10-15 minutes to get in a tree is about perfect. Well done!
    Question, why doesn't mad rock want you to use an autoblock? I noticed it was kind of a pain to use one with the mad rock and didn't know it wasn't the way. What are you supposed to use for a backup with the mad rock?
    What I like about mobile hunting, besides all the benefits from the saddle and being covert, is that I know 100% my gear and the stand I am in is safe because I inspect it before I go. I remember about 10 years back I had left a hang-on in the woods for about 6 months or so after turkey season (private club) and then when I went to go hunt it I slammed my foot like I always doo and the thing went crashing to the ground. The straps had dry rot. That just won't happen in a saddle. The other part I love is it feels more like hunting, you literally scout for sign and set up to hunt it.

    3 sticks and a stand. I can get 25 feet out of it if I need it, and takes me 8-9 minutes on average. Quite and extremely easy. Your setup looks great and I am glad it works very well for you

    Lol dude had then crocs on climbing a tree 🤙🏽tried one stick climbing for the first time today and I was pretty slow at it compared to my 4 stick climb but figured i would faster with time. Good time getting up. I agree with the 20 feet, I'm usually about 25 feet on average

    What black diamond gloves are you using? I bought a pair of gloves and they fell too thick. I don’t feel like i can really feel the rope the way i like to.

    What’s the purpose of not wanting to use 4 steps? Just curious, I know 17 minutes isn’t a long time necessarily, but I wouldn’t consider it fast. Also, that didn’t include being fully set up. That’s over 20 minutes of getting set up. To me that seems a little long. Have you compared your times of one sticking vs multi sticking?

    • @PrivilegedBowhunter
      @PrivilegedBowhunter  Před rokem +4

      Thanks for watching🤙🏿I personally seem to make too much noise with 4 sticks and a platform. Also, the axis deer that I'm hunting are crazy smart, sometimes they see the climbing sticks at the bottom of the tree. The 2 limbs (to make it more of a realistic climb) adds a few minutes. It would take me around the same amount of time to climb and set up with 4 sticks in the same situation.
