    New live session video - The Lamentations of Round Oak Waters - recorded at Black Bay Studios in the Outer Hebrides.
    The 2nd song to be released from my upcoming album is a live session we did in the studio on the Isle of Lewis. The song was inspired by the works & life of the late English poet John Clare and takes directly from a poem of his titled ‘Lamentations of Round Oak Waters’.

    I am loving this reference to John Clare, who really should be more widely known for his work. I really admire the rage he had against the enclosure of the land in the 1800s, a process which began this nation's obsession with land ownership and property that we have today. His work is still so relevant. I love the themes of social history in your work :)

    This is absolutely stunning. I love the use of the bass beat behind the penultimate verse to build to the final. Can’t wait to let students studying Clare’s work hear this.

    That's pretty cool. Trebuchet magazine did a bit on John Clare's 'Tresspass' which echoes graffiti in a big way. The man saw it coming.
