To be totally honest when I stumbled upon this channel i first thought who would like to see someone sitting in a tractor and stare in the field for 18 hours a day. Little did I know that this was a combination of Gas Monkey Garage, SharkTank, Friends, Live Rescue, Heavy Rescue:401. Gotta say I'm totally hooked watched all your videos since same time last year. Use the crane arm on your service truck to push the sidewall in to get the bead on the rim
I always grab a rope and a T-bar on a rope behind the quad and whip the kidlets around the field on tubes the same size as what You've pulled out of the old ones... You've got those nice side by sides just sitting there...

I realize you guys do all your own work but as a former mobile farm tire guy for 10+ years its really hard to watch other people do it. Lol. Good work though. I enjoy your videos.

Those eight tubes would be awesome at the lake. You could create a floating island. Glad you have that tire partner for the Bud and Beastbine.
As someone who used to do tractor tires professionally, you did not use enough lube, that was your struggle, remember when in doubt more lube

Those tubes would be great to float the river or lake on. I miss getting them free when I was a tireman replacing old ones.
now that you have tubeless tires, you can use antifreeze/weight water in the tires if you need it. Its messy, but its now possible.
Definitely faster than me changing the tyres on our loader. I still live in hope that someone though bias give better stability on the loader a radial open centre for it so that they grip better in the autumn while loading muck from the heap in the field but last better in the summer when carrying hay and straw so doing more roading last longer than the softer bias. But our 12.5-25 are rather frustrating size for anything other than closed centre.

Back when I was working as a parts picker for Big Bud - I'd lift a tire up by myself to roll it to the tire shop. Of course that's why I can barely walk today - bad back (compressed disk), bad hip and bad knees.

Does a toll for sure. My gramps was a doer also. Granted his injury was working for the city here he plowed roads in winter cut trees in summer. Well one winter leveling his load of calcuim chloride salt for the extreme cold he slipped on the the trk ladder and fell on the belly snow plow of his trk and broke his back. Towards the end for him he still had wood suppliment heat and he was trying to out work a friend that had multiple heart bypass surgeries who was trying to out work him. Dog gone that old fart was mad at him but was funny. Hard work was burned into him

They are actually easier on the tractor, the tractor holds the rim dead still and solid

used to do aircraft tires, same company GY radials, you couldn't mount them that way, had to assemble the rims on the tire with two sides and bolt together. never do them cold was our process
It took 5 of you to lift the new tyre when it was laying flat. I'm surprised leg arms didn't lift it with his one good arm and give the 5 of you a rest!

I dunno about those big tires but we used to mount 24.5 tires with a 4 inch winch strap around the tire and crank heck outta it until the sidewall spread to seal

You did the total weight, but you didn't mention front axle vs rear axle weight distribution percentage. What baseline tire pressure did Scott recommend?
Hey Jeff!! It came in at 55/45 split front to rear. 15psi front..9psi rear..
Is that the KTA-1150 engine in that tractor? Do you all use the Beet juice for the tires? With a tire that size you can put what 1000-1500lbs per tire? That will get you up in the mid 50k region for total weight.

On the stubborn tire, why didn't you guys try the fire method? Was it recommended not to? I know some tire manufacturers say that you shouldn't do that on their agri tires.

I rather go with Michelin Tires then for good year but there both a lot better then Firestone. We have Michelin tires on two tractors and the teews (sold rubber tires should of) on a skid loader we love them.
