I live in West Floral Park in a beautiful Mid-Century Modern home. This is a neighborhood where people know each other, help one another, host dinner parties, BBQ's, and happy hours often, gather several times a year for neighborhood-wide events, and have pride of ownership. There are a lot of hidden gem neighborhoods in Santa Ana BUT you need to do your research.. So many beautiful old money neighborhoods north of 17th street... Need ranch style homes sprinkled around.. You probably want to put your kids into private schools like Mater Dei. It's been nice watching Santa Ana re-develop over the past few years, but there is more work to be done. Good luck
I would say garden Grove and Westminster is ghetto and far worse. I was homeless in O. C before. Santa Ana is pretty crime filled but it is more built up than the other 2 places I mentioned. S. A has more potential than the other 2 places etc.

There are two Santa Anas. There is north of 17th and then there is everything else.
